#HonestWorship
“Worship is honest. You can come to god and say, god, this is horrible. This is difficult. I was on a pass. I was on a phone call with the pastor this morning on my way into church. In a community, he said, just there's been some things going on. He said, we've lost six people to death in our church in the last seven days. Six people. And yet, I'm like, dude, how, like, how are you doing? And he goes, it's been a week. It's been really tough. And I don't normally do this, but last night, I was in the sanctuary and I just rung it out with god for a few hours and I woke up this morning feeling refreshed. That's worship y'all. There was no band. There was no hand clapping but it was a man who was broken, heartache, and he's just saying, god, this is what's going on. You know what's going on. And even though all this is going on, I'm looking to you. I'm trusting in you. I'm trusting in who you are. Worship is honest and is vertical. So if you're wondering practically how you do this,”

“He told him what he already knew. Put another way, he just reminded him of the promise which was you're gonna be the king of Israel. You were anointed for this. I know this looks bleak. I know this looks bad but you will get through this and you will be the king. See, here's the thing. God often strengthens us through people. How does he do that? Because people help us remind us of what god already spoke. So, when you're in the midst of the wall, you can't hear. You can't remember. You can't remember what god spoke. A good godly friend will help you remember what you already know.”

#LeanInNotBack
“Don't quit and don't try to do it on your own. He leaned in in a situation where he didn't know what to do, didn't know where to go. He leaned in and found strength in the Lord his God. And God gave him wisdom to say, hey, they're not dead. They've been taken away. Go chase them and I will give you victory and they do. If you're in the middle of the wall, lean in to what God is saying. Lean in and just even if you're leaning in, it's not saying you have all the answers but saying, God, help me. Please help. Just lean in. Don't lean back. Don't quit. Let go.”

#LeanIntoGod
“In a moment when he hit the wall, in a moment when everything is going aside, and now even his own men are ready to kill him, David doesn't quit. He doesn't throw in the towel. He doesn't say just kill me. What he does is he leans in and found strength in the Lord. He leaned into what God was already speaking and what God was already doing. And so I'm here to tell you guys, if you're in a season where you feel like everything's falling apart, I'm begging you, please don't quit. Do not quit. Because on the other side of the wall is testimony and that testimony is not just gonna reaffirm you of your belief and your love and your allegiance to God, but that testimony is gonna be something that God uses to reach people.”
