#spiritualHealingFirst
“``If you get physical healing without spiritual deliverance, you know what that is? It's putting a Band Aid on a gaping wound. Each and every one of us has a gaping wound in our heart that other things try to satisfy. And God says, the only thing that you need from me is my grace and my forgiveness. Jesus deals with his greater condition before he deals with his lesser condition. Maybe some of us are too focused on what's ailing us physically, that we're neglecting the spiritual healing that we need today in the house.”

#forgivenessOverSymptoms
“Pharisees get mad. They say, who alone can forgive sins? And if we're honest, we might wonder why Jesus is focused on forgiveness over his misfortune. Why forgive his sins before healing his body? Because the greatest ailment in human history isn't your physical sickness. It's a spiritual disease that every single one of us carry, myself included. Y'all know what it's called? Sin. And we carry that with us every single day. And Jesus noticed that first before he noticed his broken legs. I know we come in here all cute, we all come in here with all of our issues, but the one issue that Jesus sees through and sees every single week is our brokenness and our sin. And he calls out to it. He says, son, your sins are forgiven.”

#divineParadox
“A divine paradox. Y'all know what a divine paradox is? It's it's a man who walked the earth, who is both lion and lamb. Strange things. A man who walked the earth who is both king of glory, but servant of all. Strange things. A man who walked this earth, who is concerned about the least of these and not those who'll be doing the most. Strange things. There's something even more strange happened on a Friday. This this this god who took on flesh, who dwelt among us, who created wood himself in the beginning, knowing that the wood he created would be wood that one day he hung on.”

“But he did it anyway. And that Friday, he's taken up on the cross a recipe for your ultimate breakthrough. You see, I gave you a recipe for what's happening in your life, but there's a there's another recipe where God took the mixing bowl of my sins and put it in his grace sized gumbo. And he said, whatever it is that you've done in the past, I put all that on my son. On the one who came and died for you and was raised again from the dead. And the only thing that he asked of me is to believe in him. I don't have to do anything to experience god's grace.”

#unnamedServants
“The thing that's baffling to me is these friends don't have no names. We don't know who they are, but we know what they're called to do. Y'all gotta be careful with attaching your purpose to a platform. Just because nobody knows your name don't mean that you're not called to do something great for God. These anonymous men show up with a friend who is in need, and Mark tells us that there's four of them. Now, is there four of them, pastor John? Because they're carrying something. They're carrying a cart, a cot or a mat with the man on it. And practically, you can't carry a cot if somebody's not carrying each side. So he needs four friends in his life to help carry him to his breakthrough.”

#carryYourMat
“Just got one simple exhortation for you. Don't leave your mat. Look at somebody say, don't leave your mat. When life gets hard, don't leave your mat. When you wanna move on from that thing, don't leave your mat. Your story is too important for everybody else to hear it. And because you got your breakthrough, it could lead to somebody else's breakthrough. So roll that thing up. Put it under your arm. Carry it on your job. Carry it with your children. Carry it in your house because one day it's gonna lead to somebody else's deliverance.”

#bewarePharisees
“Y'all need to be careful of folks who know what church looks like, who won't allow God to show up in his own unique way to help set people free and deliver people. In scripture, those people are called Pharisees. They got their seats assigned in church, and you bet not be in it. This ain't you 11:30, but their service is the best service, and no other service exists. These these Pharisees didn't bring their diseases to Jesus. They brought their doubts.”

#faithBreaksRoofs
“Some doors won't open the normal way. When the crowd wouldn't move and the room wouldn't clear, four friends carried one man to a roof and refused to let anything stand between him and his healing. They didn't ask for permission. They made a way. And what came down through that ceiling wasn't just a man on the map? It was faith that would not quit. Come expecting, come believing, because sometimes the roof has to come off before the breakthrough can come down.”
