Breaking Free from Debt: God's Financial Principles

Sermon Summary

Sermon Clips

"Many people are going to work every day simply to service debt. Debt is destroying individual lives. It's destroying families. It's even destroying a nation. The Bible is clear that the borrower is slave to the lender. There's a lot of slavery going on, and financial slavery is one of the worst kind. God never intended His people to be owned by debt, and yet it is controlling so much of our lives today." [00:13:18]

"But did you know God has a solution for your debt problem? There are three principles you have to know and understand if you want to experience financial victory. It is give, save, and spend in that order. Honor God first, honor yourself next, and then appropriately spend what is left. If you do that, which is God's order, then you'll get God's involvement." [00:48:77]

"Don't expect God's intervention if you're stealing from Him at the same time. The Bible is clear, then, that you save for yourself. You don't do for others and miss you. And then you spend what you have. Then you can expect God to intervene in your circumstances. So congratulations on your journey to financial freedom as you give, save, and spend in that order." [00:72:93]
