#GentleServantJustice
“``And Jesus would reveal God as he is God himself and would come to establish ultimate and final justice for all. But in how he does so will be different from other conquerors like Cyrus. He will be calm and non aggressive. He will be gentle in nature. A bruised reed he will not break. A smoking flax he will not quench. He is calm. He will not break others just to accomplish his purpose but instead will be gentle. But in his gentleness, he will not be a pushover because he will not fail in his mission. He will establish justice because of who he is. This servant of the Lord, the Messiah, is whom the world should keep their focus on and find hope in. Behold, the bible tells us, my servant whom I uphold.”

#CallOnGodOnly
“And yet foolishly, many of us continue to do so. Because instead of wanting to look to God for help, we rather trust others or other things. And the bible says this is a futile endeavor. Would you call a plumber for your health needs? Would you call a chef to fix your plumbing issues? Would you call a writer for your computer problems? Of course not. Why not? Because they really can't help you even if they think they can. So it is with false idols and other people. They cannot be trusted. My friends, when you need help, especially spiritual help in your life, make sure you call only upon the one true God. Because when we need help, God will surely help in his appointed time and in his appointed ways.”

#GodHoldsOurHands
“In verses 11 to 12, the Lord God says, I will take care of Israel's enemies. So complete is God's dealing with her opponents that they will not even be found as if they have vanished. And that's why in verses thirteen and fourteen, the people of Israel are instructed to fear not because God will be their sustaining help. He will hold their hands. He will guide them. He will protect them as an adult holds their children's hands and save them. Now putting it all together, we have our first biblical principle for why we must set our sights solely on the Lord God. Because number one, God promises to sustain his children. God promises to sustain his children. And I love this imagery of God holding our hands. You see, not only does God uphold us with his hands, he holds our hands to guide us, to assure us, to give us that steady footing that we need.”

#GodIsYourFastPass
“Now we understand this truth. Wouldn't we focus our attention on the one who can provide that enabling help? Why would you have the ordinary ticket when you can have access to one that gets you to the front of the line? Why would you trust in yourself where you are unable to do anything and are frustrated when you can turn to the one who can clear the path and allow you to have all that he so desires for your life. Focus on the Lord God.”

#GodSuppliesStrength
“And that my friends is our second principle. You see, we need to keep our focus on the Lord because number two, God supplies and enhances what is lacking. God supplies and enhances what is lacking. When we are lacking strength, when we need a extra boost in life, we don't have to look anywhere else than finding it in our Lord and Savior. The world will try to distract us and offer us temporary fixes, but it is only that. Temporary. Our Almighty God always supplies and enhances what we are lacking. If only we will keep our focus on him.”

#FocusOnTheGiver
“The quenching of your thirst and the relief from the heat, all for free, is something that should make you appreciate the giver more than what you actually got. Does that make sense? Deep appreciation for the one who would provide that relief. So it is with God. When he promises what he does to supply what's lacking, then the focus should be on the giver and the enabler, not necessarily the relief provided. And that's often the challenge of the Christian life. We always feel that we will be thankful only to God when we have received what we feel we should get. We forget that the one who supplies our needs, regardless of how he supplies it, should be the one we think and the one we focus on.”

#DontTrustFalseHelp
“And this is our third biblical principle and it is this. Number three. Do not trust what cannot truly help you. Do not trust what cannot truly help you. A simple truth with profound implications. You see, oftentimes, when we are impatient and we want God to act faster Or when we don't seem to get our ways through what we pray for, we turn to other means and other people just to get our way. But be warned my friends. This is not only a futile act, but it also greatly displeases God.”

#PromiseKeeperSavior
“In these verses, the one true God identifies himself as the creator God, but also as the covenant and promise keeping God. And in that promise keeping role, he will send his son, the servant, our savior Jesus Christ, identified in this chapter, to open the spiritual eyes of the people so that they can see the light of truth and of salvation. In verse seven, the servant will heal both physically and spiritually and will bring the people out of bondage, especially out of the bondage of their sins. All because the one true God remembers his promises to save his people. In verse eight, God reiterates that he alone is to receive all attention and glory. And verse nine again says, behold, meaning focus on what God has done so that you can trust more in what he says he will do.”
