#BrokenForUs
“Then in Lent, we see that while not one of his bones were broken but think, in Lent, he gave his back to be broken by the whip, broke open by the whip, his head to be broke open by the rod and the thorns. He gave his hands to be broke open by the nails. He gave his side to be broke open by a spear. He gave his heart to be broke open by rejection and betrayal and godforsakenness. Jesus, the bread of life, was broken on the cross so we could receive him, to so we could he could be taken in.”

#EdibleEmptiness
“Yeah. If, you know, you you have to laugh or you'd cry because here, these explorers, they're eating and eating and eating something that is masking the problem. This plant entirely lacked any life giving nutritional value. Their stomachs were full, but they were trying to survive on edible emptiness. The nardu plant seemed to fill a need, but in actuality, it masked it, and they starved to death. Brothers and sisters, we must look down on the plate of our life. Is it devoted to edible emptiness, to what seems to fill the need but actually masks it?”
