#SeePersonNotSin
“``But I wanna ask this today, do we see the sin or do we see the person? Because we all have sinned. We all have fallen short. But I believe showing mercy is saying, I see you in your sin, but I have something I can share with you. Showing mercy is sharing the gospel with those who are trapped in their sin, who are in need of a savior. Amen. So will we see the sin and just disregard them and say, oh, you're caught in adultery. I want nothing to do with you. Or be like the Pharisees and point them out. Or will we see a person who's lost, who's hopeless, and in need of a savior, and we have the hope that is in Jesus?”

#GraceTransforms
“I love this picture of all these men slowly leaving the room. One by one, they left, and she was left with Jesus, the only one who could truly judge her, the only one who could really bring conviction, who could really bring the judgment upon her. Grace and mercy does not ignore sin, but transforms the sinner who remains in the presence of Jesus. Grace and mercy, it doesn't say, oh, you're in your sin, just keep going. But it transforms our life to say, want to make a change, I want to follow Jesus. And when we remain in his presence, that is where we're transformed.”

#CompassionInAction
“Jesus' compassion here didn't just stir his emotions. He didn't just see them and say, oh, wow. I really feel bad for them. But his his compassion led him to action. It leads to action. It led to him actually touching them and healing their bodies. And I've read that in a cultural context of this time, touching a blind person would have been seen as an act of kindness and breaking social norms, as physical ailments were often shamed. So Jesus is stepping out here in faith and stepping out of what the culture told him was not okay, and he touched and healed these two blind men.”

#ForgivenessDaily
“And as I was preparing for this, I felt like the Lord shared with me that forgiveness is a daily choice of surrender. Because I have to wake up every day and come to the Lord and say, Lord, I need your help today. I need your help forgiving those who have wronged me. Because we can go through some very painful situations. We can go through some major hurt in our life. People will let us down. But we can come to God and say, God, I need your help. I need you to help me forgive. I need you to help me walk in your fullness. Forgiveness is a daily choice of surrender, and it's only in his strength.”
