#RestoredNotRejected
“And sometimes God does something similar in our lies. Sometimes God has to expose what's broken before he can restore it. Sometimes he has to confront the sin we've been hiding. Sometimes he has to deal with the pride we've been protecting. Sometimes he has to expose the bitterness we've been carrying. Sometimes he has to show us the thing we thought was helping us is actually hurting us. And when God starts doing that, it can hurt. And here's the important thing to remember. God's correction is not rejection. God doesn't expose our brokenness because he wants to throw us away. He exposes our brokenness because he wants to restore us.”

#ComeHomeToGod
“Maybe you've been trying to hold everything together while quietly falling apart. And maybe you've wondered, can God really do anything with this? And Zephaniah's answer is yes, actually. Because God says, I will gather you. I will bring you home, and I will restore you. That's a promise. Amen? Amen. That's grace. And, ultimately, that's where Jesus comes in because Jesus stepped into our brokenness. He took the judgment we deserved. He carried our sin. He went to the cross. And through his death and resurrection, he made a way for broken people like you and me to come home to God.”

#LovedNotEarned
“We don't worship God so that he will love us. We worship because he's already loved us. We don't obey so that he will finally accept us. We obey because he has already invited us home. We don't spend our lives trying to convince God. Hey, God. I'm actually worth keeping. Jesus has already settled that question at the cross. Amen? You are loved. You have purpose. You are welcomed, and you are his. And Zephaniah says he rejoices over you. Amen.”
