#GodSeesYou
“``God doesn't see someone who doesn't belong. He sees a reflection of himself. Just like our little friend who saw her reflection. Right? She felt seen, she knew she belonged, and is valued, and is part of this community. She's got a rough little story, that little one. But adoption's around the corner. But even without adoption, belongs here at Love Handles, here in our Boardpoint community. She belongs here. And take this mirror, I want you to look at it. Look at your own reflection. Do you truly see yourself as God sees you? Are you the cardboard sign I'm not good enough or are you looking at it and seeing how God sees you and you are worthy?”

“I mean, David wasn't even seen by his own family. He wasn't even invited to the lineup. But when we think about that, belonging doesn't even need an invitation. God sees you, God saw him in the fields with the shepherds way before he was asked to come and line up and be before Samuel. And Samuel already knew the prophet. He's like, I already know. These aren't the guys. Where's the other one? Right? God already knows your worth. He knows that you are worthy, even when you may not even believe it yourself.”

#IExistIMatterIBelong
“So when her mom, Ashley, sent this to me, I just started crying. I was like, look, our froyo truck is already impacting people, and we haven't even got it on the road yet. You know? But this is the point. This is the point. She sees herself, she sees a reflection of herself, she sees the reflection of God in her, and it says, I exist, I matter, and I belong. Someone thought enough about that what we put on this truck to make it look like our community, to make it have a reflection of the people that we want to serve, just like God has a reflection in you.”

#AlwaysInvited
“As we pray today, I want you guys to just look in the mirror. I am worthy. I know you love me and I may not see myself that way. But when I look in the mirror, God, help me to see, to see you, to see my worth, to see your reflection. God, just like the woman with the blood issue, God. Help me reach out to you in faith even though I may not see it today or tomorrow or even a decade from now, God. That I may look in the mirror every day and have faith. Help me to know God that even though I may not be invited to the party or a friend's house or to the movies, God, that I am always invited and seen by you.”
