#AuthenticChristianity
“They send Barnabas. And this is where I pick it up here today. And my question for you today is, we call ourselves Christian, and there there was a reason why we call ourselves Christian because we are following Christ. He is the one and but sometimes we find that the the the name Christian just becomes a label. It becomes something that I carry along. If you look around today, there are many hundreds of Christian denominations. There are many churches that preach Jesus essentially or there's something they they preach a bible, I I would like to say. But the question is, am I really a Christian or does that really make me a Christian? Just using the title, just going to a church, just walking through a church. Does that make me a Christian? And this is where the rubber hits the road for us today because I want to challenge us yesterday to ask yourself the question, am I really a Christian?”

#ChristInEveryReaction
“Based on who you are as an individual. If you're a person very prone to anger and you get, you know, you spiral and anger for little things, Somebody cuts you off while they're driving. Well, this is gonna show you who you are. Right? Or if somebody says something to you in an insulted manner, immediately the old man wells up and you begin to present in such a situation who you really are. But the truth is when you're faced with whatever situation, you should present who Jesus is. That is the key. And if we can learn how to present in a Christlike manner, it changes the dynamics. It changes what is happening. It changes the atmosphere around us if we really learn to become more and more Christlike. But I admit that it's not always as easy as we think. But if we understand who we are in Christ, that should make it easier for us. What did Paul say? He said, your new creation in Christ. The old man has passed away. He's gone. You've been buried with Christ, and you rise in resurrection after you've been baptized. So the old man is dead. The old man is gone. You put off the old man, and a new man rises. Amen?”

#BecomingChristlike
“How many of you wanna become more and more like Christ? You know, when you look in the mirror, you know, you should see looking back at you, she's someone who's being transformed into the image of Christ. And if you're not seeing that person yet, keep on working at it. Keep on working. Don't give up. But ultimately, that is the goal of every Christian believer to become more like Jesus. How many of you know that? You know, the goal the goal of every Christian believer is not to get more rich with the blessings of God. The goal of every Christian believer is to become more and more Christ like. Paul said that we are being transformed every day into the image of Christ. Amen. From glory to glory.”

#MakeDisciples
“You know, Christ wants us to become disciples. Now we can carry the label of being a Christian, but we never gravitate to becoming a disciple. A disciple of Jesus. You know, a disciple of Jesus is one who has forsaken everything else to follow him. Jesus said, you're not a disciple unless you're willing to deny yourselves, take up your cross, and follow me. If you wanna follow me, that's what it entails. That is what it entails. So when we understand the definition of discipleship, are we disciples of Jesus Christ? Are we and that is why that is what God wants. He wants us to become disciples. Because why? Because disciples make disciples.”

#SavedToServe
“Sheep make sheep. It's as simple as that. And and and you're saved to serve. You're saved because you're you're being saved means that you're gonna win others to Jesus. That's that's that's really how the church grows. How many of you understand that? Many of us haven't gotten that yet. We think that we're saved for heaven. You know, you're not saved for heaven. How many of you know that? You were not saved simply to go to heaven because I could guarantee if that was the purpose of you being saved, just going to heaven, you would've died the day after you gave your heart to Jesus because he wants to keep you. Right? So I get saved and then I die.”

#LetTheSpiritConvict
“Because if you point them to Jesus, they will know what they're doing wrong. They're gonna figure it out for themselves. They don't want you to come and point your fingers at them, your fingers of judgment at them because you're seeing them walking a set of way. Yeah. But that's the Holy Spirit's job. You know what Jesus said about the Holy Spirit? When the Holy Spirit should come, he will convict the world of sin. He never said that's your job. That's the Holy Spirit's job.”

#LiveLikeChrist
“So I wanna encourage all of us here today to understand what it means to live for Jesus. What it means to live for Christ and to live on a daily basis and allow people to see Jesus in you. Now here's the thing. Here's the point that I want us to understand here this morning. Why were they called Christians in Antioch? I'll tell you why they were called Christians. You see, because the people in Antioch probably didn't know about Jesus being the way, but they knew about Jesus. So when they saw them living, me let me just back up again again in Antioch, it's a Grecian it's a Grecian city and the way they they would they would they would identify people based on who you're following. So, like I said last week, I said, like, if you're a follower of Herod, you'll be called a Herodian. Or if you're a follower of of Caesar, you'll call it Caesarean and and so on. So seeing these people and seeing how they lived according to the principles of Jesus Christ, they must be Christians.”

#ComeAlongsideOthers
“My question to you is, how many of us here today will be that person? How many of you will say, you know what? I'm gonna look for someone who's young and the faith in the church, and I'm gonna just walk with them and encourage them rather than criticize them. You know, when new people come into the church and people get baptized, it's important for you to walk with them. They don't know everything. And sometimes they still behave like the old man. That's all of us. But we must be willing to say, hey, listen, I wanna come alongside your brother. I wanna come alongside your sister, and I wanna help to walk you through to become a of Jesus.”
