Today is about making our values and our vision as plain as we can. It's about writing it down. Why? So that we can run. We can run the race together that the Lord's laid out for us. And so we do want to invite you today to expand, expand your faith, your obedience for how Jesus calls us as a family on mission to live differently in this world. [00:47:32] (23 seconds)  #RunTheRaceTogether

But when we take steps of faith, like planting a church on a university campus, and we realize, oh, wait, the city's much bigger than just this room and what God's called us to. And if we get too comfortable and forget that the reason we gather in a room like this is so that we can scatter, we're meant to be sent out as a church, like into our vocation, into our workplace, into our businesses, into our neighborhoods with a burning passion for the mission and the message of Christ Jesus. There are more families that have yet to encounter the presence and the power of a real, loving, living God in our city. And we to be captivated with the Great Commission that we are still a people set apart to go into the world and to see people changed because of Christ and baptized in his name and discipled in his name. This is why you have breath in your lungs. As a disciple, you are meant to make disciples. [00:53:52] (28 seconds)  #MakeDisciplesWithPurpose

As followers of Jesus, we surrender every part of our lives to his lordship. And that includes our desire to be really comfortable. And that's a big one. The Lord's challenging us big time. Cause this is like, I kind of. I think I know most of you. At least we've met or hung out. Maybe we haven't grabbed coffee with everybody. And I kind of thought it would be cool to pastor a church where I knew everybody by name. And I could always say yes to going out for lunch with people, but we're just not there anymore. Now lots of you are saying yes to going out for lunch and having people over to your homes. And I love that the church is rising up, but we gotta say, God, it's all yours. Have your way. Yeah, it all belongs to you. This is not our church. Your church. It's his church. We are not your pastors. You are not our people. We're his people. Change us, Father. From the inside out. [01:02:37] (51 seconds)  #SurrenderComfortForKingdom

We've all said, lord, what would it look like to be a part of an actual move of God in our lifetime? That looks like the early church and their response to the Holy Spirit's power and presence and being transformed by the risen Savior. Great joy, radical financial generosity. This was the early church. And we just want to say yes to seeing that Kingdom come here in Evanston in our lifetime. And this ongoing challenge for us to choose a greater kingdom impact by learning how to live off of less so we can give away more. [01:03:53] (36 seconds)  #TransformFromInsideOut

``At your core. Who you are is you are a child of God. And because of that, we're always going to have to measure the tension to not live focused entirely on ourselves and our own needs, but to say yes to being a family on mission and to partnering with the hope of Jesus as it's being made known here in our city, in our province, in our nation, and around the globe. [01:30:28] (25 seconds)  #BuildJesusChurchNotEmpire

Maybe there is an area in your life where you could learn to live off of less, to give away more. Will you say yes to that? We don't give reluctantly. We don't give a response to pressure. God loves a person who gives cheerfully. But pray. Take your time and pray. [01:37:21] (16 seconds)  #FamilyOnMissionTogether
