#ItIsFinished
“``When Jesus died on that cross, one of the very last things he said was, it is finished. It comes from John nineteen thirty. This was not the cry of a victim. He did not say I am finished. He said it is finished. What did he mean? Well, that Greek word simply means to complete perfect or to finish as it's translated. When Christ died, he completed the plan of salvation. He perfected the only way back to God. His death satisfied every demand of God for sin so that anyone who will believe in Jesus in saving faith will be born again and forgiven of their sins. Jesus died on that cross. When that happened, he declared that God was satisfied and that the way of salvation had now been opened.”

#PaidInFull
“The death of cross, not a moment of weakness in any way shape or form. It was actually a moment of triumph. God accomplished something in those about six hours during that day on the cross that man had not been able to accomplish in thousands of years nor would they ever be able to accomplish in any number of years. God accomplishing through the shedding of the blood of Christ something that that had not been able to be achieved through the shedding of millions and millions and millions of gallons of blood from sacrifices for thousands of years. When Jesus died on the cross, he forever paid for sin and provided a means of salvation for all who will believe in him by faith.”

#CrossIsEssential
“The cross and the Messiah the cross of the suffering Messiah is an absolutely essential part of salvation. Without it, salvation is not even possible. There can be no salvation without the death of our Jesus on the cross for our sin. And that's one of the reasons why people hate it so very very much. Because you see the cross puts an end to a very popular human belief that we humans are self sufficient.”

#SalvationByGrace
“You see, if we believe that we can only be saved by receiving Jesus and trusting his death and resurrection, which by the way is better be what you believe because it's the only thing that's true. When we believe that, we are declaring that our own helplessness exists before God. We cannot earn salvation. cannot achieve salvation. We can't be good enough for salvation. Mankind loves to think that, oh, we can just do some good things or some religious things and earn favor with God. Family, there's nothing we can do that will give us any favor with God except accept the blood of Jesus on our behalf to cover our sins.”

#SoulIsEternal
“That's what Jesus died for is to save your soul. Did you know this? That's how important your soul is. It is the only part of you that is eternal. Everything we gain in this life is temporary. It could all be taken from us before we wake up tomorrow morning but our soul is eternal. All that will matter on our final day is our relationship with Jesus. Did we choose to truly follow him?”

#ShareTheGospel
“Here's what we take away from that. Every single one of us need to be doing the same thing every day of our lives. We need to be sharing who Jesus is. The son of God who came to die in my place and in your place. Who came for the forgiveness of my sins and your sins and rose again so that we could be restored into a right relationship with God the Father. And so that we could receive his Holy Spirit is an absolute truth that we must declare. It is the foundation upon which our lives of faith are built.”

#CrossMeansCost
“Because they didn't know anything else. So he was trying to teach them a very important lesson. They knew what it meant for someone to take up their cross. It meant humiliation, suffering, and even death. For us today to take up our cross is not about carrying some burden in this life. It's not about the weight of a diagnosis. It's not even dealing with annoying people. Yeah. You've heard people say, well, that's just my cross to bear. No. No. It might be your cross to bear but not for Jesus. That's not what he's talking about. He's calling us to willingly bear bear the shame, the criticism, the humiliation, the suffering, the hatred, the alienation, and possibly even the death that might come with those who are associated with him.”

#LiveBoldlyForChrist
“In light of our world, what do we do? Well, we need to challenge each other to stand firm against the challenges that we do face. We take up our cross when we choose the narrow way over the way of the world because everybody's gonna look at us like we're crazy regardless of the cost. We take up our cross when we live out biblical truths, biblical ethics in our personal lives. When we run our businesses as Christ would run a business. When we handle our relationships as Jesus wants us to handle our relationships regardless of the cost. We do what's right no matter what. We take up our cross when we're willing to suffer any attack for the sake of Jesus Christ. We cannot be afraid of being canceled in our culture because of our Jesus. We must sacrifice our self serving life and our pride in order to be true disciples of Jesus.”
