#SetTheStonesFree
“On this day when we celebrate that we serve a god who because he lives the stones of our life roll away, may we also recognize that impulse within us to wanna hold on to those same rocks because we find some comfort in the pessimism. Instead, may we be people who set those rocks free, who live trusting that we serve a god, who will meet us in every dark place, in every place of struggle, and will be a part of setting us free. Amen? Amen. Amen.”

#FirstEasterQuiet
“It's fascinating that so much of our Easter experience has been wrapped up in this experience that is loud and energetic and full. Because the first Easter didn't begin that way, did it? It didn't begin in a full church with all the noise and all the proclamation. It began in a quiet and dark garden with two women looking at a tomb, A tomb closed with a mighty stone.”
