The Christian experience should not be that you've followed the requirements of the church. You've checked the boxes. You've joined the church. You've been baptized. This is not the Christian experience. The Christian experience is someone who has surrendered their lives to Jesus and said, You be God. I'm going to take myself off the throne and I'm inviting you to be Lord of my life. This is Christian experience. And this is equipped and enabled by the Christ. And it is practical for us individually by His Spirit who comes to dwell in us. [00:04:23] (46 seconds)  #SurrenderToChrist

Do you realize that when you are tempted and tried, this is for your refinement and sanctification? God is causing even the evil one to accomplish good in your life for His glory and for your sanctification. Sanctification means to be made like Jesus. So even when God allows Satan to tempt or try you, it is for the purpose of trial and refinement. Sometimes only trials, sufferings, and difficulties can accomplish for you what God wants in you, which is Christ's likeness. [00:06:21] (43 seconds)  #RefinedByTrials

You're trying to get to heaven through your own works. You're trying to get to heaven through the requirements of your church, denomination. You're going to fail. You're going to fail if you attempt to please God through your mortal, earthly, human efforts. Christ stands as our substitute. He stands to satisfy the Father. And we are the beneficiaries of grace. [00:10:12] (31 seconds)  #GraceNotWorks

Only you know in your private prayer, if you will quiet yourself before God, what are the idols that are coming to compete against the supreme glory of Christ. Only you know what they are. You need to submit all of them to Him. For the great, great glory of God Almighty, put everything aside. Keep yourself from idols. An idol is something that would stand between you and the glory of God and God's will. [00:12:23] (37 seconds)  #SubmitYourIdols

Everyone in this room, you're one of two categories. You're a child of the devil or you're a child of God through Christ. Which is it for you? Dark kingdom, no doubt. How about some warnings so that we might be wise in this dark kingdom? 2 Corinthians 2, 11 so that we would not be outwitted by Satan. We are not ignorant of his designs. The church of God right now, our church, us, we, me and you, we need to be aware of the spiritual battle that is raging around us. And the significant risk of satanic activity. [00:28:49] (57 seconds)  #SpiritualBattleAwareness

You're not who you feel that you are. You are who God says you are. If you don't get hold of that, you're going to have a rough go. As a Christian, you're going to have a rough go. But you know what? Even if you're not a Christian, if you're letting your mind control your reality, you're going to have a rough go, Christian or not. I'm talking about being a new person who's under the authority of the Scripture, and we believe about ourselves what God says about us, and how wonderful that He has done this for us. [00:32:09] (35 seconds)  #IdentityInChrist

Be on guard when you're weak, tired, sick, or sad. You're an easy target for the prowling lion. Be sober minded, be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls about like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour. What do we do then? Resist him. In order to resist him, you have to believe that there is the potential that there is a roaring lion prowling about for your hindrance. I'm not saying that the roaring lion can take your salvation. I'm saying the roaring lion can put you in bed with depression and anxiety. [00:38:23] (37 seconds)  #ResistTheRoaringLion

If you don't believe it, if you don't know it, and if you don't resist it, you're easy picking. Oh my goodness. You may not hear the lion prowling. You may not know that he's circling about you, but you will feel fangs when they grab hold of you. You say, well, I don't know the devil is prowling about me. You'll feel the fangs. You'll feel the teeth of him. So does this mean I'm going to lose my salvation? Nope. It means you're going to be miserable. Resist him. Recognize that he's prowling and looking for your ruin and harm. [00:40:25] (47 seconds)  #RecognizeAndResist

``If you're in the new kingdom, if you're a follower of Christ, your faith will flounder, but it will not fail. This by the power of Almighty God who keeps us. Jesus knew it was coming. He warned Peter it was coming. He failed anyway, just like we do. He said, I pray that your faith will not fail. Even if we stumble, even if we falter, our faith is kept in the Almighty power of God. [00:45:00] (34 seconds)  #FaithThatEndures

How do we protect ourselves? We're wrapping ourselves in Jesus. We're wrapping ourselves in the scripture. We're living in our faith. Protect yourself with God's armor. Verse 17, and take the helmet of salvation, the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. Praying at all times in the spirit with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints. [00:46:59] (31 seconds)  #ArmorOfGod
