#GraceAndGuidance
“``Torah, the law, that guiding energy to get the ball to the target, that is the law. God is guiding, shaping, sending the people on a journey in a trajectory so that they become the kind of people that god has in mind. That is why grace and rules, commandment, and covenant go together. Sorta like sweet and sour, sweet and salty. The covenant says, god will be faithful even when the people are not,”

#FaithfulCovenant
“God will be faithful. God will continue to shape and guide even if the people fall short. God will keep god's commitments and keep promises forever even when the people don't. The commandment side says that god has expectations for the people on their side of the agreement. They're freed from slavery by god, but they're freed for a purpose to give glory to god through their way of life. So that's why that boundary line around Mount Sinai was so important.”

#GodWantsYourBest
“We get god wrong so wrong sometimes As if god is just arbitrarily making up boundary lines or rules to make our keep us busy or get us in trouble, that god has nothing better to do than coming up with do dos and don'ts. God is some sort of cosmic killjoy who only cares more about the rules than the game, doesn't want us to have any fun? The truth is god desires your best and the best for you. God wants you to live well,”

#BoundariesMatter
“Human history, even our own history as a nation, as we celebrate two hundred and fifty years, we have records of how when we don't keep boundaries, we don't watch ourselves, people can get hurt. And boundary keepers themselves don't always get it right. Parents aren't always right. Teachers make mistakes. Congress sometimes doesn't help. authorities, police, and courts don't always get it right, but god is faithful.”
