#EasterEveryday
“Jesus takes no delight in your distress, but his joy can reach you and claim you and call you. So, yes, this story is a bit on the punny side. Confused disciples, the empty nets, the unsolicited fishing advice from the Wisenheimer on the shore, and Peter doing the cannonball at the end. But the punchline is not really a punchline at all. The truth that lands is that your fumbles do not have to be the end of the story. They do not have the final word. That's why I've come to say also that Easter is not a day on the calendar. It's a way of life every day throughout the year.”

#LoveInAction
“Love is a thing that translates into what you do with the life that you've been given. Love is a is a way of life, and Jesus knows that. And three times, he gives Peter a chance to say, Lord, you know I love you. And then he says to him, in the midst of your fishing and pulling in real fish to feed your family and feed the community, I want you to find another way to pull people into this story of grace as well. And now, this wood smoke smell will speak to Peter of restoration and not humiliation.”
