48s
“Jesus said, go and wait for that indwelling fire of the holy spirit to come upon you. Don't you dare leave until you've received it and that's exactly what they did. They went and they waited. They waited on the holy spirit. We must pray. We must pray. It's not enough for somebody else to pray with for you. Are you doing it? Are you doing it? Are you praying for it? Are you doing it? Are you praying out to god? God, strengthen me with your fire. God, give me that boldness. Not so that I can keep it to myself but so that I could share it with others.”
32s
“A hunger. Are you hungry? Are you hungry for it? Are you just satisfied with coming and letting somebody else do the worshiping for you? Just satisfied with coming in and witnessing somebody else being touched by god. Somebody else growing in their relationship. Does that just does that satisfy you? Are you just okay with that? It gives you the good feels and you're ready for the rest of the week. There has to be a hunger for us, within us, for the holy spirit to come upon us.”
33s
“The promise of the holy spirit coming and dwelling in our lives is not reserved for one person. It's not reserved for a certain class of people or a certain class of Christians. The promise of the holy spirit coming and dwelling is for all his people, For all of his people. Would look like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. What do we see? We we see the promise being fulfilled in the New Testament church.”
78s
“They begin their their walk and their journey out of Egypt, and they begin to walk towards Mount Sinai. Fast forward fourteen hundred years. To the day of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. That also, not by coincidence, happens on the day of Passover. Jesus was perfect the perfect lamb of god perfect in every way, unblemished sinless perfect. As he endures that crucifixion and that death, not a single bone was broken in his body. His blood, all of it was spilled. And it was applied on the very post of that cross by his own body. His body was consumed into a tomb. The shedding of his blood saved all of us. Saved all of us from the captivity of sin. And the consequence of death and hell that was awaiting every single one of us.”
