Awakening Prophetic Voices for Our Youth's Future

Summary

In my recent sermon, I spoke to the congregation about the urgent call for us to rise up as prophetic voices in our generation, much like the prophet Ezekiel. I drew parallels between the vision of the valley of dry bones in Ezekiel 37 and the current state of our nation's youth, who are facing lies and desperation. I emphasized that God sees potential where we see hopelessness, envisioning an army rising from these dry bones.

I urged the congregation to engage in prophetic prayer and action, particularly for our youth, and to participate in the strategic movement of God at this critical time. I shared about the importance of uncommon prayer, obedience, faith, and persistence, and the need for each of us to invite others to experience the transformative power of Jesus Christ.

I also addressed the issue of spiritual complacency and the necessity of letting go of bitterness and offense. I called on the church to prophesy the Word of God over every aspect of our lives, including our marriages, families, and the nation's children. I reminded us that we are all called to prophesy, as stated in Acts 2:17-18, and to reject the spirit of religion that seeks to silence the voices of God's people.

I recounted a personal testimony of prophesying life over a seemingly dead tree, which later flourished, as a metaphor for the power of speaking life into dead situations. I encouraged the church to prophesy to the mountains of societal influence, such as government, media, and education, and to believe in the power of God to bring restoration and blessings.

Finally, I called the church to action, to not delay in responding to God's call to prophesy and to be part of the prophetic movement that God is orchestrating in our time.

Key Takeaways:

- God sees potential for life and transformation in situations that appear dead and hopeless. As His children, we are called to share His vision and speak life into the dry bones of our generation, particularly the youth who are facing deception and despair. [53:25]

- We are in a strategic time where God is calling His people to rise up in prayer and prophetic action. This requires uncommon faith and obedience, as we are to be the Esthers and Mordecais of our time, standing for God's purposes in our nation. [54:44]

- Bitterness and offense are traps that hinder our spiritual effectiveness. We must choose to be prophetic rather than pathetic, releasing forgiveness and speaking the Word of God over our circumstances, as this aligns us with God's will and releases His power. [01:24:25]

- Every believer is empowered to prophesy. It is not reserved for a select few. As we speak the heart of the Father, we are participating in the spiritual battle against the enemy's possession of our land, families, and personal lives. [01:19:26]

- The time to act and prophesy is now. We cannot afford to postpone our obedience to God's call. By prophesying His Word, we are taking part in the spiritual warfare necessary to reclaim what the enemy has stolen and to see God's kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. [01:00:29]

Devotional

Day 1: Vision Beyond Desolation
The valley of dry bones in Ezekiel 37 is not just a vivid picture from the past; it represents the potential for life in what seems utterly lifeless. In the eyes of the Divine, where there is desolation, there is also the opportunity for transformation. This is particularly true for the youth of today, who may be surrounded by lies and desperation. They are like dry bones waiting for the breath of life, and it is the responsibility of believers to see beyond the surface and to speak life into these situations. By doing so, one participates in the divine act of envisioning an army rising from the dry bones, a metaphor for the revival and empowerment of a generation in despair. [53:25]

Ezekiel 37:4-5 (ESV)
"Then he said to me, 'Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live.'"

Reflection: What situation in your community looks hopeless, and how can you begin to speak God's life-giving truth into it?

Day 2: Prophetic Action in Strategic Times
We are living in a pivotal moment in history, much like Esther and Mordecai, who were called for such a time as this. Believers are urged to engage in prophetic prayer and action, especially for the youth. This is not a time for passive faith but for active, strategic movement in alignment with God's purposes. It requires uncommon prayer, obedience, faith, and persistence. By participating in this movement, one is not just observing the unfolding of God's plan but actively contributing to the spiritual awakening of a nation. [54:44]

Esther 4:14 (ESV)
"For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"

Reflection: How can you be more intentional in your prayer life to align with God's strategic movements in your community?

Day 3: Releasing Bitterness to Embrace Prophecy
Bitterness and offense are like chains that bind the heart, preventing it from moving in the freedom of forgiveness and the power of prophecy. To be prophetic rather than pathetic means to release these chains and to speak the Word of God over one's circumstances. This act of speaking aligns one with God's will, allowing His power to flow through and bring about change. It is a conscious choice to let go of the past hurts and to embrace the future with a heart aligned with God's purposes. [01:24:25]

Hebrews 12:15 (ESV)
"See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no 'root of bitterness' springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled."

Reflection: Is there any bitterness or offense in your heart that you need to release in order to speak life into your circumstances?

Day 4: Empowered to Prophesy
The gift of prophecy is not reserved for a select few but is available to every believer. It is a powerful tool in the spiritual battle against the forces that seek to claim our land, families, and personal lives. By speaking the heart of the Father, believers are actively participating in reclaiming what has been lost and establishing the kingdom of God on earth. This empowerment to prophesy is a call to action, to use one's voice to bring about divine change and to stand against the enemy's schemes. [01:19:26]

Joel 2:28 (ESV)
"And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions."

Reflection: In what ways can you use your words to prophesy God's truth and love into someone's life today?

Day 5: The Urgency of Prophetic Movement
The call to prophesy and to be part of the prophetic movement is urgent and cannot be delayed. Just as a dead tree can flourish when life is spoken over it, so too can dead situations be revived by the power of God's Word. Believers are called to speak to the mountains of societal influence—government, media, education—and to believe in the restoration and blessings that come from God. This is a call to action, to not postpone obedience but to step into the role of a prophet in today's world. [01:00:29]

Habakkuk 2:14 (ESV)
"For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea."

Reflection: What is one action you can take today to respond to God's call to prophesy and influence society for His glory?
