In my recent sermon, I spoke to the congregation about the urgent call for us to rise up as prophetic voices in our generation, much like the prophet Ezekiel. I drew parallels between the vision of the valley of dry bones in Ezekiel 37 and the current state of our nation's youth, who are facing lies and desperation. I emphasized that God sees potential where we see hopelessness, envisioning an army rising from these dry bones.
I urged the congregation to engage in prophetic prayer and action, particularly for our youth, and to participate in the strategic movement of God at this critical time. I shared about the importance of uncommon prayer, obedience, faith, and persistence, and the need for each of us to invite others to experience the transformative power of Jesus Christ.
I also addressed the issue of spiritual complacency and the necessity of letting go of bitterness and offense. I called on the church to prophesy the Word of God over every aspect of our lives, including our marriages, families, and the nation's children. I reminded us that we are all called to prophesy, as stated in Acts 2:17-18, and to reject the spirit of religion that seeks to silence the voices of God's people.
I recounted a personal testimony of prophesying life over a seemingly dead tree, which later flourished, as a metaphor for the power of speaking life into dead situations. I encouraged the church to prophesy to the mountains of societal influence, such as government, media, and education, and to believe in the power of God to bring restoration and blessings.
Finally, I called the church to action, to not delay in responding to God's call to prophesy and to be part of the prophetic movement that God is orchestrating in our time.
