1. "This is the reason he lived perfectly. This is the reason he died painfully. This is the reason he rose triumphantly was to save him. That's why a moment that was in the heart of God before this young man was ever in the womb of his mother, before the foundation of the world, the Bible says God knew him and chose him to conform him into the likeness of his son." 2. "What leads to a person deserting Christ? I don't know. It's like, wow. You mean they just turn around and run to the other side? That's what they do. John says today in chapter 2, the second half, second portion of 1 John chapter 2. Andy just read it. Andy's the chairman of our elders, by the way. Can you imagine how heartbreaking that must have been to those who are in a congregation?" [34:39] (37 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

3. "There is one dramatic difference between the two of them. The emotional connection, the confusion as to why and all of that is the same. But there is a dramatic difference, okay? In deserting the Christ, there's one reason why you do that. And one reason why you do that. There's one reason only. Because you've approached him, but you've never accepted him. No one deserts the church, the universal body of Christ. That, I'll show you today, is not possible." [35:21] (31 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

4. "The confidence we build off of today is, you can trust you will never leave him. You won't. If you know. John says 20 plus times in this little epistle, that you might know, that you might know, that you might know, that you might know, that you might know, okay? He wants you to know that you can know. You can trust this fact, you will never leave him, if you know you have arrived in him." [37:56] (25 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

5. "Some of you are on the approach. You haven't yet landed in Christ. And you may have been on the approach for the last 35 years of your life, thinking that you've landed, but you haven't. But the good news is, is you haven't deserted Christ. You haven't turned your back on the gospel message yet. You just haven't landed in it. Today, you're going to land, okay? You're landing that plane. No more circling the runway. Time to put it down, baby." [38:52] (26 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

6. "You have an anointing. You have evidence. Remember, the Gnostics were all about, well, if you haven't had this deep, mystical, meaningful experience like we have, then you're inferior to us. You need to listen to we who've had these deep, meaningful spiritual experiences and expressions that you've never had. Well, that's utter nonsense, because I got saved and I didn't speak in tongues. Now, some people still do, praise God. That is very normal, but it's not normative, for heaven's sakes, not all of us." [47:27] (31 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

7. "The spirit of God who comes and produces the fruit in your life is also the escrow payment that guarantees your eternal life. That's exactly what the word deposit means, escrow, okay? And it guarantees, you know, the truth. If you go and buy a home, you write a $1,000 escrow check. That's probably 50 years ago. You write a $5,000 check or whatever it is, showing my age a little bit. If you don't close, say goodbye to your deposit. Rightly so." [55:21] (28 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

8. "You can trust you will never leave him if you know you've acknowledged him. And there's the key. This is personal and private. Have it. Have you personally acknowledged him? Do you believe in your heart that God raised his son from the dead? Have you confessed with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord? Then you will be saved. You will be. It is an absolute promise and that promise is eternal life." [01:06:59] (31 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

9. "The fact that you might be disappointed in God. The fact that you might be sitting here today very angry because you've lost something or someone you love. Let me tell you why you're mad at him. Because you know in your heart it didn't have to be that way. You know he could have done something about it. And he chose not to. And the reason you're angry is because you have an emotional connection with him." [01:09:51] (22 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

10. "As for you, the anointing you receive from him remains in you. And you don't need anybody to teach you. You don't need anybody. You've got the Spirit of God. Now, that means about your connection with Christ. It's in you, man. You don't need anybody to... It's there. You've got this. It remains in you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things, as that anointing is real, not counterfeit, just as it has taught you, remain in him. Just remain."
