"The sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God." The word "sword" here is very critical because it's not referring to the long sword that a Roman soldier would use but more of a shorter dagger. Shorter daggers were used for up close battles, in your face battles. Because it's called the evil day. This is the day when Satan is all up in your face. I mean, he's all over you. He's not off in a distance. This is a frontal assault on your life, on your world, on your family, on your mind, in your circumstances, so he says, "I want you to take up this short dagger that the Spirit uses." And he says, "This short dagger is the Word of God." [00:06:31]

This is the only offensive weapon in the armor of God. Why is it the only offensive weapon? Evidently, it's the only one you need. Satan is allergic to Scripture. You remember Jesus in the wilderness in Matthew 4, when He was tempted three times by the devil? What did He do? He quoted the Scripture. Many Christians have a Bible study with each other, and we talk to the Lord, but now in spiritual warfare, God wants you to have a Bible study with the devil. That's what Jesus did. He quoted Scripture to the devil because He knew the devil can't handle the Word of God. He can handle your word, my word, the world's word; he just can't handle God's Word. [00:55:30]

So we need to make him sneeze. We need to give him the flu. We need to give him some chills by actually using the Word of God you learned and having a conversation with the devil about it. When you do, you stick a dagger in him. In fact, when Jesus was tempted by the devil, he quoted three scriptures, so God must like baseball—three strikes, you're out. Because it says, "Then the devil left Him." He couldn't take it anymore, because that's how powerful the Word of God is. And so, use the Word of God, quoting Scripture, specific verses that are related to your specific challenge at the time of the attack, and see how God can do Zorro. [01:41:21]

You know, I used to love Zorro growing up. Zoom-zoom-zoom, you know? He put the insignia on you to let you know he was now in the vicinity and you lose. What God wants you to let the devil know, he loses when he attacks you, because you got the Word of God. [02:23:52]
