#CherishedByGod
“But this morning, what I would challenge you to do is to fixate all you can on what God says about you. And once you start to feed off of that, that's something you can feed off of. That is steak and potatoes. Feed off of that. Sense and know the affirmation that God has for you as his child, as his beloved. And what other people say about you, it'll have less weight. It won't carry quite the punch and the sting that it used to. You can always know, regardless of what other people think about you, that the father, son, and holy spirit are thrilled to have you. They cherish you. They love you.”

#ChristOverAccolades
“Paul says, I had it all. I had the accolades. I had the attaboys. I had a pat on the back. But then when I met Jesus, it all became garbage in estimation to what Jesus What Jesus means to me. When I realized all that I could have in Jesus, all that other stuff, the affirmation of others, the attaboys, the pat on the back, just pales in comparison. There's no comparing it to know that I have a home in heaven beside the Lord Jesus Christ. I will sit at his feet and see him someday. All of this I consider loss that I may win Christ. And he even goes so far as, say, in verse 10, I wanna know him even to the point of participating in suffering.”

#GodsConstantWelcome
“They're always moving the goalpost on you. Any time you get on the side of society and you say, yeah, I am one of those. Oh, boy, that's great. Thanks. We're we're glad you're on our team. Give it two months and they're gonna move the goalpost on you and now you gotta be this plus this. Okay? Now I'm one of these and these. Give it time. They're gonna move the goalpost and now you gotta be this, this, and this. And if you're not all three, you're nothing. You're junk, you're garbage, you're throw away. We're gonna cancel you. We're gonna destroy you. We're we're you're you're not welcome anymore. That's the way society treats people. That is not the way God treats you. That is not the way God has forgiven you. He has forgiven you of all of your sins, and you'll always be welcome in his presence.”

#HeldInGodsHand
“Eternal life, forgiveness, security. Security to know that he holds us in his hand. To know that he is protected. Sometimes when we're walking through the parking lot, I'll reach out with my my kids. I'll reach out and I'll grab my son's hand. He's five. You know why I do that? If you've met my son, know why. It's security. Here, take my hand. There's cars out there. There are things out there that could mess you up. There are people out there who don't have your best intent, son. Hold my hand. To know that my heavenly father holds me in his hand. I have what I need in life because I have a heavenly father who holds me within the palm of his hand.”

#NewCreationInChrist
“To follow Jesus might mean to break some connections in this life. Following Jesus thoroughly and receiving affirmation from him will sometimes lead you down a path path of receiving hostility from others. And so this morning, I just want you to know what you have in Jesus. I wanna show you what you have in Jesus. The bible tells us that first of all, if you know Christ, if he is your savior, you are a new creation in him. Old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new. You are a child of God. He has adopted you into his family. You did not deserve to be a part of his family. I did not deserve to be a part of his family, and yet he welcomes us with open arms. We are children of the heavenly father. We are saved by grace. We are saved by grace by simply putting faith, by putting our trust in Jesus and Jesus alone, plus nothing, minus nothing.”

#RefinedByPraise
“And so, this morning he says something interesting. This is an unusual statement here that he he takes an angle we wouldn't expect. He says that there is a crucible for silver and a furnace for gold. But human beings, people are tested by their praise. Tested by their praise. Instead of being put through the the the pressure of the furnace, instead of being put through the pressure of difficulty and struggle, Solomon says one of the key ways that can tell the quality of your life is how you handle the approval of others. Your desire, your passion to be approved by others can be a test of the quality of your soul.”

#ServeChristNotCrowd
“That's an important thought. We probably just, that might be one to just kinda take home and think about today. If I serve people, I'm not serving Christ. You know what he's saying? He's saying that the decisions that you make are dependent upon who you're actually trying to please. The way you live, the way you choose not to live, is dependent upon who you're trying to please in life. If the goal of your life is to get affirmation from people, your decisions will be based and your lifestyle will be based upon the affirmation of others. If you choose to serve Christ, if he is your highest goal and your highest aim to serve him and honor him, your decisions will look different than if you were serving serving people.”

#SeenNotUsed
“Are you okay with having that person in your corner versus those who are negative towards you in this particular instance? Do the people who affirm you, do they see you as a valuable person? Or do they just see something in you that they value? You know the difference? Do they see you as a valuable individual or do they just see something in you that they want? Something that makes them feel better about themselves because, oh, I didn't know you were like that. That makes me feel better about myself. That is not affirmation, that's flattery. That's a form of manipulation.”
