God calls His people to live lives that are set apart from the world, marked by holiness and a distinct identity in Christ. To be sanctified means to be chosen and separated for God’s purposes, not blending in with the world’s values or behaviors. This calling is not about perfection, but about a daily choice to reflect God’s character, to resist ungodliness, and to let your identity as a beloved child of God shape every other role you have. When you see yourself first as God’s own, everything else in life flows from that foundation. [07:42]
Jude 1:1-2 (NKJV)
"Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, To those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ: Mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you."
Reflection: In what area of your life do you most struggle to see yourself as set apart for God, and how can you intentionally live out your identity as His child today?
Believers are urged to actively fight for the truth of the gospel, guarding it against compromise and false teaching. This is not a passive faith, but one that requires vigilance, courage, and a willingness to stand for what God has entrusted to us. The world may resist or distort the message of Jesus, but you are called to hold fast, to defend the truth, and to live in a way that honors the faith delivered to the saints. [09:17]
Jude 1:3 (NKJV)
"Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints."
Reflection: What is one practical way you can stand up for the truth of the gospel in your conversations or relationships this week?
God’s judgment is real, just, and inevitable for those who persist in unbelief, rebellion, or immorality, as shown through historical examples. The stories of Israel’s unbelief, the fallen angels, and Sodom and Gomorrah remind us that God sees all, knows our hearts, and will not overlook sin. This truth is both a warning and a call to examine our lives, to turn from anything that dishonors God, and to live in reverent awe of His holiness. [13:47]
Jude 1:5-7 (NKJV)
"But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."
Reflection: Is there an area of your life where you have been ignoring God’s warnings or justifying sin? What step can you take today to turn back to Him?
In contrast to the world’s ways, believers are called to strengthen their faith, pray in the Holy Spirit, remain in God’s love, and show mercy to others—even those who doubt or are trapped in sin. This is a call to spiritual growth and compassion, to be rooted in God’s love and to reach out to others with both truth and grace. As you build yourself up in faith, you become equipped to help rescue others, loving them while hating the sin that entangles. [26:07]
Jude 1:20-23 (NKJV)
"But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh."
Reflection: Who is one person in your life who needs to experience God’s mercy through you, and how can you reach out to them this week with both compassion and truth?
God alone is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you faultless before His presence with joy. In a world full of challenges, temptations, and spiritual battles, you are not left to your own strength—God’s power, wisdom, and faithfulness are your security. As you praise Him for His glory and trust Him to preserve you, you can walk in confidence, knowing that He is able to sustain you now and forever. [27:28]
Jude 1:24-25 (NKJV)
"Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen."
Reflection: What is one area where you need to trust God’s power to keep you today, and how can you express your praise to Him for His faithfulness?
We live in a world full of distractions, false promises, and voices that try to pull us away from the truth. Just like those spam calls that try to get our attention with lies, there are spiritual voices and influences that seek to deceive and distract us from God’s call. But God is calling each of us today—not through a phone, but through His Word and the Holy Spirit. The question is: will we answer, or will we keep sending Him to voicemail?
The book of Jude, though short, is a passionate plea for believers to stay faithful, to fight for the truth, and to live lives set apart for God. Jude reminds us that our primary identity is not in our jobs, our families, or our achievements, but as beloved, blood-bought children of God. Everything else flows from that. We are called to be sanctified—to be set apart from the world, from ungodliness, and from the pull of sin.
Jude warns us about the reality of false teachers and ungodly influences. These are people who twist God’s grace, live for themselves, and lead others astray. He uses vivid Old Testament examples—Cain, Balaam, and Korah—to show that rebellion, greed, and pride are not new, and that God’s judgment is real and just. These false teachers promise much but deliver nothing; their lives are like clouds without rain, trees without fruit, and waves that leave only chaos and filth behind.
But Jude doesn’t leave us in warning—he calls us to action. We are to build ourselves up in faith, pray in the Holy Spirit, remain in God’s love, and show mercy to those who doubt or are trapped in sin. We are to hate sin, but love the sinner, always remembering that God alone can keep us from stumbling and present us faultless before His glory. Each of us must examine which group we belong to: those who are truly set apart, those who claim Christ but bear no fruit, or those still searching for answers. God is calling—will you answer?
Jude 1:1-25 (NKJV) — 1 Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James,
To those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ:
2 Mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.
3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
4 For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.

God has set us apart to do something for him. He set us apart to make a difference for him. That's what that word sanctified means. And we have a call as God's people to sanctification. We're to be set apart from the world. We're to be set apart from ungodliness. We're to be set apart from unholiness. We're to be set apart from worldly lifestyles, worldly thinking. God wants us set apart from all of that. [00:05:55] (25 seconds) #SetApartForHoliness
God's calling. And his judgment is real. And his judgment is always just. Always. The Bible tells us that whatever a person sows, that shall he also reap. If we live lives of sin and unbelief and deceit, God will judge us. We don't get away with anything. The Bible also says that God says, vengeance is mine. I will repay. God sees it all. He sees our hearts. He knows our thoughts. He knows who we are better than we know who we are. He's a sovereign God and he expects his people to live holy, sanctified lives, set apart from the world and be in a light to a dark world. [00:13:13] (48 seconds) #SovereignJudgment
God is able to keep us safe in the midst of everything that's going on around us if we will just choose to be sanctified, if we will just choose to know Jesus, if we'll just choose God's way instead of the ungodly way. [00:26:56] (18 seconds) #ChooseSanctification
Book of James is a battle cry, folks, for truth, urging us to stay alert, fight for the faith, resist false teachers, resist worldliness, remain rooted in God's love, and trust that God will preserve us. God has us. [00:27:42] (21 seconds) #JamesBattleCry
You're still checking this God thing out. You don't know about Jesus. Not sure about that salvation. You're kind of in between. Been looking for an answer. You want the answer. You want to know God in a relationship, personal relationship with God. You want that, but you keep pushing him away. You keep hitting ignore. You keep hitting voicemail. He's calling you today to salvation. Bible says today is the day of salvation. You keep saying, sending him a text mail in a meeting. God, get with you later. I think that group's here too. Which group are you in? [00:29:27] (39 seconds) #AnswerGodsCallToday
