#BeInterruptible
“``Being a good neighbor means that you and I have to be available to be interrupted. Are you willing to be interrupted? Think about the week that you have coming up. I'm gonna guess, if you're like me, there's not a lot of margin for long conversations that you're not planning for. But what if we lived in such a way where we really truly believed when we had a conversation with somebody stopped us in the break room or somebody our neighbor asked a favor of us or we we meet someone on the street even though we're in in a hurry to get somewhere? What if we lived in such a way that we said, you know what? Whatever's on my calendar is not nearly as important as sharing the love of Jesus with this person. Be interruptible. Be vulnerable.”

#LetItBeAwkward
“My friends, I gotta go there just a second. I gotta this one's gonna hurt a little bit. This is gonna sting, and we're afraid of making it awkward in the break room at work. When when Peter's saying what he just wrote to these folks that that were reading his his his epistle, he I mean, they were literally when he was saying that, when he was saying giving this advice, he was saying, yeah, some of you are gonna die. We don't wanna make it awkward on an airplane. We don't we don't wanna make it awkward with our neighbors. Or, oh, gosh, we pray. We just want the right opportunity to open up to share the gospel with a family member. What he was saying is, let it be awkward.”

#JesusSacrificed
“Because we the gospel is ultimately about our god who got off his throne, traveled across heaven to Earth to be born of the lowliest human on the planet, to live a sinless life and then ultimately die and defeat death through his resurrection to come back for you and I. God came here. The only being in all of eternity that had every right not to move an inch crossed heaven and earth was disrupted to do that for us. That's the gospel. And if that doesn't change us on some level at the core, how can we go around and say Jesus saves sinners? But I'm unwilling to be I'm unwilling to be made uncomfortable for that fact. Well, the God of the universe made himself uncomfortable to the point of his death to save us. And if that doesn't move us, then I submit maybe there's maybe you can't give away what you don't have.”

#GospelIsGoodNews
“The gospel is called good news for a reason. It is joyful. It is hopeful. It is life giving. We do a disservice to Jesus when we present Christianity like it's a burden we reluctantly agreed to carry. We're people of hope. Let's act like it. The three ways to be a loving Christian influence to be a good neighbor. First of all, be vulnerable. Accept the cost. Don't wait for a risk free opportunity. Embrace the interruptions and discomfort as part of your calling as a believer. Two, be ready. Cultivate a prepared heart. Always be ready to share the good news. Stay close to Jesus so that talking about him feels natural, not forced. And finally, be respectful. Lead with gentleness. Honor people's time, background, story, and let your life back up your words through being gentle and respectful. Neighboring means setting aside your fears, opening yourself up, and being vulnerable to those that God has placed around you.”
