“``The towel always leads to the cross this morning. The towel always leads to the cross. You say, what do you mean, pastor? Jesus took up a towel, washed Judas' feet even though he knew he's gonna betray him. Jesus took up a towel and washed the feet of Peter even though he knew he was gonna deny him. Jesus took up a towel and washed the feet of Thomas even though he knew we doubt him. He was a servant. He's called us to be servants. See, a servant's love isn't based on what people are worthy of. It's based on God's character. Not based on me. It's based on him. It's not me that lives, but it's him that lives within me. Amen? You say, why? How could you forgive that person, or how could you love that person, how could you embrace that person? Because God embraced me.”

“``servant's love isn't based on those people that are worthy. See, eventually, the towel the towel of the upper room became the cross of Calvary. The one who knelt with a base and the one who stretched his hands out on the tree. The one who washed feet was the one who washed his heart. The one who carried the towel would also carry our sins. And the greatest service of human, or I guess I I can even say the greatest service known to man, period, happened on an old rugged cross on a hill called Golgotha. Jesus didn't merely serve us. He saved us. He didn't merely sympathize. He sacrificed. He didn't merely teach love. He demonstrated that love in a way that no man could ever demonstrate that love.”

“``Did you see that? His ministry began with what? A towel. He was serving the people. He was serving the people. See, that ministry began with a towel, but god entrusted him with miracles. God is looking for you to be obedient this morning, man, more than anything else. God, here am I. Send me. Many people want a platform, but god's looking for a towel. Many people want a microphone, but god is looking for a servant. God wants you to move today on his behalf. Many people want crowds, but god said, want compassion for the people because if he can trust you with the towel, guess what? He can trust you with his power. He can trust you with that anointing. I want more anointing. How long you've wearing the towel? How long have you been wearing the towel? Never despise small acts of obedience. I'm telling you this morning, your greatest ministry began in unseen places.”

“``The kingdom advances because someone picked up a towel. Lord, I wanna see the kingdom advance. Are you ready to pick up a towel? It's all in the towel. He sanctifies the towel. Amen? Loving god, he says what he called us for. He said that we're to be about the father's business, loving god, loving people, and holding forth the word of life. At this church, at word of life, this isn't a slogan. It's our assignment. It was given to us by god himself. This is what he has called us to do. That's what this ministry was founded upon. Amen? And we need to be about the father's business. You cannot truly love God vertically without loving God horizontally or loving people horizontally. See, the cross has two beams.”
