Living with a kingdom, our own perspective transforms our relationships, our decisions, our mindsets, our purpose for living. Really the why in the here and now. And whether today you came in feeling weighed down by life's worries, or simply desire a deeper connection with the Lord, I encourage you to make that choice to set your heart on things above, where Christ is seated. Our hope in Jesus is not just an unpredictable wish. But instead, it's literally an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. And this kind of hope is a noun, not a verb. We choose to set our hope on Jesus. It contains no doubt. It's always trusting in God's faithfulness, no matter what is happening around us, good or bad. [00:11:46] ( | | )

Hope is so important that it's even listed in 1 Corinthians 13 13 with the greats, right? Faith, hope, and love. These three remain. Now, the greatest of these is love because God is love, but hope is an element that's important too. When we look at Hebrews 11 1, now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. [00:13:05] (25 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

Our God is a promise -keeping God. And some years ago, Pastor Harvey and I were just remembering this story that he shared a sermon about how God's promises are true. And to make his point, he went to his mom's house. He went to his mom's house and he went to his mom's house and he went to his mom's house and he got some spices and canned goods that were expired that she hadn't wanted to get rid of.
