The psalmist cries out from deep mud, feet slipping. God’s hand pulls him onto solid rock. No self-rescue worked. Like the woman at the well drawing empty buckets, we exhaust ourselves until grace intervenes. The hymn declares this grace “freely bestowed” – not earned by morning rituals or tithes, but given to sinkers and strugglers. [23:57]
Jesus offers water that forever satisfies thirst. He doesn’t wait for cleaned-up lives. He steps into mud pits, gripping wrists caked with failure. God’s grace lifts you from cycles of striving into purpose.
Where are you trying to claw your way out instead of reaching upward? Name one area where you’ve relied on your own strength. Will you still your efforts today and let grace lift you?
“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.”
(Psalm 84:11, ESV)
Prayer: Ask Jesus to reveal where you’ve resisted grace. Thank Him for gripping you mid-sink.
Challenge: Write “MIRY CLAY” on a scrap paper. Tear it while praying “Jesus, pull me onto Your rock.”
Jesus watches a widow drop two coins. He calls disciples closer: “She gave all.” The offering plate holds not just coins but surrendered trust. In Luke 6:38, He promises return pressed-down harvests – not scarcity math, but grace economics. The sermon echoes: “Your hands that give won’t wither.” [01:45:36]
God multiplies seeds, not just crops. He blesses 90% kept behind when we release the 10%. The widow’s story isn’t about poverty theology but surrender theology. Jesus honors radical trust over safe calculations.
What’s your “two coins” – small yet costly? Give something tangible today, not leftovers. How might trusting God with your thin resources shift your view of His abundance?
“Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap.”
(Luke 6:38, ESV)
Prayer: Confess any fear of lack. Ask boldness to give first, not last.
Challenge: Give ₦500 (or equivalent) anonymously today – to a stranger, church box, or needy friend.
The disciples yawn through Gethsemane’s prayer hour. Jesus urges, “Watch and pray.” Night vigils birth breakthroughs – children, ideas, purpose. The sermon thunders: “God gives grace to conceive!” Midnight chains break when hands lift instead of fold. [01:56:16]
Elijah prays seven times for rain. Hannah weeps yearly for a son. Persistent prayer isn’t nagging but incubating God’s promises. Your 3AM tears water unseen seeds.
What dream have you stopped praying for? Set one alarm this week to pray specifically for it. Will you partner with God’s timing instead of abandoning hope?
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
(Matthew 7:7, ESV)
Prayer: Name one “barren” area. Ask for grace to keep knocking.
Challenge: Set a 6:30AM alarm. Pray 5 minutes for your conception – literal or metaphorical.
Mephibosheth hides in Lo-debar, legs lame. King David finds him: “Eat at my table.” Grace promotes the unqualified. The sermon declares: “God lifts from backside to palaces!” Your past doesn’t veto His promotion. [01:42:23]
Rahab the prostitute becomes Christ’s ancestor. Peter the denier leads Pentecost. God’s grace rewrites resumes. Stop disqualifying yourself. His call overrides your stumbles.
Where do you still wear “Lo-debar” labels? Write one lie about your identity. How would sitting at God’s table today change that narrative?
“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another.”
(2 Corinthians 3:18, ESV)
Prayer: Thank Jesus for His royalty over your story. Reject one old identity label.
Challenge: Text a friend: “God promoted me today from _____ to _____.” Fill the blanks.
Mary chooses the “good portion” – sitting early at Jesus’ feet. Martha hustles, resentful. The sermon pleads: “Join workers at 7:30AM!” Prioritizing presence fuels service. Empty pots can’t feed crowds. [01:57:37]
Jesus withdraws to desolate places to pray before healing multitudes. Power flows from secret communion, not public applause. Your “early” (whether 5AM or 5PM) matters more than the clock’s face.
What tasks drain you because you’re drawing from an empty well? How might ten minutes of silence before work reset your compass?
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some.”
(Hebrews 10:24-25, ESV)
Prayer: Ask forgiveness for neglecting soul meals. Claim one “early” appointment with God this week.
Challenge: Set shoes/bible by your bed tonight – a visual prompt for tomorrow’s morning devotion.
Grace takes the lead and does the heavy lifting. The hymn names it marvelous and infinite, and the call lands plainly that life cannot be carried by human strength. Not by power, not by might, the journey stands on grace received, not life managed. The invitation is simple and strong. Go to Calvary. Lean on God. Open the heart and take what God is already pouring.
Psalm 84:11 speaks like a banner over the room. He bestows grace and glory. No good thing will He withhold. That promise ties worship to confidence. Majesty is named, and the King answers by giving. Grace is not stingy. Grace is God’s own generosity working in real time, refusing to leave a person where life last dropped them.
Transforming grace takes a person out of the miry clay and sets feet on the solid rock. It pulls someone from the backside of life and seats them with princes. It corrects the tragic picture of servants on horses while princes walk on foot. The word is that no more would it be walk when it ought to be ride. Destiny is not to be dragged. Destiny is to be carried by grace.
That same grace meets money, work, and daily bread. God loves a cheerful giver, and Luke 6:38 is not a gimmick but a kingdom rhythm. Give, and it will be given. Good measure. Pressed down. Shaken together. Running over. Men give into the bosom when God breathes on seed and opens doors only His hand can open. Honor given to God becomes honor that refuses to leave a life.
Blessing is spoken like rain. Peace that the world cannot dictate. Lifting where others speak casting down. The hand of God that gives speed and transfers needed virtue. Even the tender ground of longing is named. Grace to conceive. Children, yes, but also ideas and greatness. God is more ready to bless than people are ready to receive, so the call is to readiness, to prayer, to show up where grace is gathering, and to stop doing life alone.
God will help you. God will ensure that nothing will take you away from his presence. Nothing will take away your peace. Nothing will take away your joy. Nothing will take away your praise. And I hear he will give you grace even to conceive in the name of Jesus. Whether it be children, whether it be ideas, whether it be greatness, God will give you grace to conceive in the name of Jesus. And it is well with you.

I pray that gladness will never ever depart from your heart in the name of Jesus. And the one that the world cannot fathom, the world cannot dictate, but the one that comes from God, that peace will be stored upon you, upon your home, upon your life. Over your children, you will not sorrow. Over your loved ones, you will not weep. Over you, we will not mourn. In the name of Jesus. I pray that the almighty will bless the seed and will bring forth great harvest in your life in the name of Jesus.

God will visit us this morning in the name of Jesus. You're here with your tithes and you want to give your tithes. Let us pray together. Everlasting father, we bless your name. You're the giver of life. There is nothing created that was outside you. There is nothing we see and we cannot see that is outside of you. Therefore, we ask in the name that is greater than every other name that, Lord, you receive of the tenth we have given, in the name of Jesus.
[01:43:48]

But this morning, we ask, oh God, that our hearts be opened, that we receive of your grace, that it may enter into the dimension of life that you have proposed for us. That no more would be work when we ought to sit on horses. We will not cheat ourselves, Lord. We receive your grace to be transformed, to be all you created us to be.
