62s
“Kinda like our life. Right? If God is the giver of life, the source, we would need to consult him as tower to use our life. Right? Why is it different for our resources? Problem is we don't do it for our life either. Further, had God been in the equation this rich man would have known, would have understood. If God provided this wealth, he could provide more. If God is the source, the source is endless. If I'm the source, the source is limited. Why trust in myself? Let's trust God, the maker of the heavens and the earth by a spoken word we looked at last week. If God is the provider, there is peace in God's ability, his desire, his promise to provide all that we need. Peace is found in God, not in a bank account or investments or your abilities.”
54s
“Are we blind to the needs of those around us? We have stained glass windows. Do we just see us or do we see beyond these walls? Are we so focused on me and and that we don't even see the great wealth that God has given to us? Are we can so consumed with me and my comfort and security that we have given no thought to the fact that God has given us storehouses of resources. Do you realize how much we have? Not for our comfort and ease, but to make his name great by generously caring for the needs of those around us, Matthew six, so that they will come and praise our heavenly father.”
46s
“But let's be honest, the consequences of our greed and poor stewardship is far more serious than someone going hungry. The the result of our poor stewardship, eternal lives are at stake. The reality is we do not have a deficit issue. We have a surplus issue. I fear I don't have a storage issue, have a greed issue. God's been showing me that my concern has foolishly been for my future ease.”
