"I believe that success for the Christian is not about popularity. It's not about power. It's not about position, but rather it is really about living out your God-given purpose in life. Don't you know that you're here for a reason? That you're not a mistake. You just didn't come on the scene that God really does have a plan for your life." [14:59] ( | | )

"And God has a plan for our success. In life. It is not a plan that you'll get from a motivational speaker. By the way, I remember when I started preaching or trying to preach, I called myself a motivational speaker. Yeah. Sure. And I'm motivated with the word of God." "Maybe it's not that seminar. Maybe it's not the guru that comes along and says, if you just do this and that and for this check you give me, I'll coach you. I'll be your life. I'll be your life coach and you'll go places, but no, it is not that we can find God's success plan in a book by now. You, you probably guessed the book I'm talking about. It is the Bible, the word of God." [17:43] (32 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

"And to discover that plan, we've got to find the book and then read the book. Yeah. And then obey. The book. So, so what do you find the book? Well, the Bible certainly is available. They get less count. There were some five to 7 billion Bibles already printed. A lot of Bibles. The Bible remains the number one bestseller." "Romans 10, 17 says, So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. You see the connection? You've got to have both. Yes, I want more faith, but I need to have the book to work with in order to have it. Does that make sense today?" [20:58] (19 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

"And so often we can do that in daily breads, or we can do it in devotionals. I'm not anti-devotional. However you get it, get the Word of God in you. Folks say, well, I've read the Bible from front to back nine times. Okay, and? That's impressive." [25:11] (18 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

"God is still working through us. Don't you throw the towel in. Don't you say, well, I haven't done my part. Don't you know God is yet using you? Amen. To be an example that God is yet appointing you and putting you in situations, oftentimes uncomfortable, so that you might be a blessing. Amen." "Having some book sense is being able to know that I can follow the book, the Bible. That if there's one thing I want to learn, it's to be able to follow the word of God. It's really fifth grade stuff. Amen? That you think it's hard. Anybody ever told you the Bible is too hard to read? It's too difficult. It's too many the's and thou's."
