1. "When we align ourselves with God, she used that word align, when we align ourselves with all the things that are true about God, releases us and sparks this good life, sparks courage, sparks joy, sparks crazy, wise, courageous decisions like to not sell your business, even when on paper it made sense to do so." 2. "When we're aligned with God's A, B, C, and D, that is when we line up with these four things that are true about God and true about us, that is what ignites the good life. And by the good life, we mean the way that God defines the good life. Totally submitted and lockstep with who God is, what God's up to, what does it mean to be a child of God, what does it mean to sort of be aligned with all the things of God." 3. "God's commands always serve God's purposes. And there's a call on them, a command, wait in Jerusalem. Don't go nowhere. The disciples have to choose, are we going to do that or not? Are we going to obey that command? Are we going to obey that command? Are we going to obey that command? Are we going to obey that command or not?" 4. "When the Holy Spirit falls on you, it gives you the power to demonstrate the truth and goodness of God in ways people around you can understand, receive. That's what the Holy Spirit does. The Holy Spirit falls on you. God gives you the gift of the Holy Spirit that you might demonstrate his wonders to people who don't yet know, people who don't yet believe." 5. "Spirit-filled communities change the whole world. There's 120 people gathered together. The passage in Acts lists 15 different people groups, 15 different people groups and different languages being spoken by these 120 people. One person could not have spoken all 15 different languages at the same time. They're proclaiming the wonders of God in 15 different languages between 120 different people spread out through this crowd." [17:50] (25 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

6. "Listen, people walking by themselves in the woods don't build hospitals. People walking by themselves in the woods don't feed millions of hungry people. People walking by themselves in the woods don't help other people save their marriage. People walking by themselves in the woods is great. It doesn't change the world. It's not how God designed it. God designed us to be in community." [20:15] (19 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

7. "The cynical voice can't even see a miracle when it happens right in front of them, right? The cynic in you or around you has no capacity to perceive even a miracle when it happens right in front of them. They will write it off. And so, my friends, those of you who battle, battle the cynical voice, right now, right here in your head, some of you feel it. I want you to look at this passage. I want you to hear, you don't want to be this guy." [22:35] (25 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

8. "If you had to place a bet here in Acts chapter 2, 2,000 years ago, who would still be standing 2,000 years later? Rome or this little small splinter Jewish group led by an uneducated fisherman named Peter? Who would still be standing 2,000 years later? You know what you would have bet? You would have bet the house, the farm, and your local aqueduct on Rome. And you would have been wrong." [25:12] (23 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

9. "Repentance is a first-time work and an ongoing work. Where it literally means change direction, U-turn, change course. In the Greek, it means change your mind. Change your mind about what matters most. Change your mind around what you're aligning your life around, whether that's your politics or your career or your money or your ability to kind of make your own decisions and kind of being left alone, whether it's what other people think about you." 10. "Spirit-filled individuals change lives. That's a part of what God's doing in us. Spirit-filled communities change lives. Change the world. I want to invite you to find your place. If you haven't yet found a place in a church community, please, please, please step in. There's a reason why God has given us to each other. I want to invite you to find your place to step in, to bring your gifts, that we might be the fruitful church that God's inviting us to be."
