Aligning Choices with God's Will for Unity

Sermon Summary

1) "The bottom line for maintaining biblical unity is that we must be more concerned about others than ourselves, must recognize that we need to. As we look and we interact with other people, we need to look at them from heaven's perspective. What does God think of that person? You know, when you get in a fight with your wife or your husband, think about it. What does God think of that person? How would God treat that person and then how does he want us to interact with them?" [05:12] (35 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

2) "We have a choice either to be bitter, resentful, contentious christians, or we can be servants of all those who are growing just like we are now. What we become will affect and shape the life of this church. Our scripture that we've been using has been out of one, chronicles 1232, where it says, the sons of Issachar men were men who understood the times and know what Israel ought to do. Let me briefly explain why I want to use the scripture again. Number one, it relates to what I've just said. We need to understand the times that we are living in. And number two, it sets the stage for what we're going to examine today." [07:31] (48 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

3) "Our challenge is to understand from God's perspective how the spiritual world impacts the natural world. When Paul talks about the spiritual battles in the heavenlies, he's referring to the spiritual realm, the kingdom of darkness that is all around us and is governed by the prince of the power of the air, Ephesians two calls it. And the ruler of this world. John 14 says, and we are vulnerable to weird notions when we are not grounded in the word and do not have a regular disciplined time with God." 4) "Smith Wigglesworth, who was known as the apostle of faith, who moved in mighty signs and wonders and even raised people from the dead, said it this way. He died in 1947. When the word and the Spirit come together, there will be the biggest movement of the Holy Spirit that the nation and indeed the world has ever seen. It will begin a revival that will eclipse anything previously witnessed. And so I'm of opinion that God's next great move will be the word and the spirit coming together." 5) "You see, recognizing the Holy Spirit's genuine presence is more important than discerning the counterfeit. To the degree you recognize, embrace that which is real and true, you'll be able to detect and reject that which is bogus and false. Now, let me encourage you. If you're watching somebody, if you're listening to somebody, if you're watching something on YouTube and there's a scratching in your spirit, there's something that's going on here, and you say, well, you know, that's not right. Let me encourage you. Hit the stop button immediately. Hit that stop button, folks, because there's so much stuff out there." [17:44] (47 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

6) "Hosea four six says, my people, not the people who are out there who don't believe in Christ, but my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. I know it might sound as if I'm beating an old drum, but here goes anyway. If you know your way around the word of God and actively pray and pursue the Lord, then it is highly unlikely, if not impossible, for you to be deceived. Let me ask you this. How well do you know your Bible? To understand the Bible, I believe you must be on good terms with the Holy Spirit. He alone can open your mind to understand the word." 7) "God is calling his army to stand up and step up and be counted. He's calling for an army to be motivated by love. He's calling for an army anointed by his spirit. He's calling for an army sanctified by his blood. He's calling for an army guided by his grace. There is so much to do. Don't you know of a believer that used to go to church? Maybe it's your next door neighbor, maybe it's somebody at your work. And all they've done right now is they dont go to church because theyre disillusioned and discouraged. Why dont you go and show them the love of Jesus? Why dont you tell them that there is another way?" [41:15] (50 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

8) "Now is the time for us to understand the signs of the time. It is time for the Issachars of today to proclaim what the saints of God ought to do. We need to stand against those who despise the goodness of God. Understanding the the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty. Through God to the pulling down of strongholds, will you stand on the word of God as the only truth worth defending in the 21st century?"
