43s
“Thank you for staying. You know why? Because somebody sitting next to you is a Naomi who needs you to be Ruth, to be obedient, she can get to so she can so Boaz can show up, so that David can show up, so that Jesus can show up because you stay. The mark of true maturity is the ability to praise after the pain and praise in the pain. When grace enters bitterness, it doesn't erase memories. It redeems the meaning. It redeems the meaning.”
48s
“Would he have been able to care for the people if he'd said, I've had enough of this? Joseph says, it is enough. Well, it won't be enough for the people when the famine comes. What if Ruth said that? It's enough. I'm not gonna do that. Well, who who's in charge of Boaz at this point? Who's in charge of Obed? Who's in charge of all those things? What if Esther would've said that? What would've happened to the nation of Israel? What if Jesus himself would've said that? What if Paul in the New Testament would've said, I don't care about the missions. I'm not gonna go out. If you make life changing decisions, allow others to support and assist Hey. Can we talk a bit? Don't isolate yourself. Reach out to people. Don't put yourself on an island because you will drown.”

“Everybody that's in this room this morning, there is a Naomi depending on you. There's a Naomi depending on you. Now, not only do you help Naomi when you trust God in your adversity, you end up helping yourself. You become the Ruth who becomes the bride of the Boaz and so forth. God has us here for a reason. This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine. And, boy, doesn't it shine sometimes when we are in our darkest moments.”
