#ChristCenteredPreaching
“``this is where I'm a get a little bit animated. Bear with me. Because according to or let me put it this way. This is evidence that what Jesus said is true. That every single verse of the bible, Old Testament, New Testament, the Psalms, the writings, the historical parts, the poetic parts, every single verse points to him. So if there is a pastor that is preaching, myself included, whether we preach like through books of the bible, or whether we preach on specific topics, no matter which way we're doing it, if we're preaching about anything from the word of God in context, and we aren't telling you how it points to Jesus, then we are doing it wrong.”

#GospelWithoutBorders
“``And there were people back then in Jesus' day who kinda read this and felt like, oh, this this this applies to everyone except Samaria, except these people, except the non Jewish people. The most of the Christian people were Jewish because that's where it started in Jerusalem. And it was hard for them to get, I gotta take this to other people that don't think like me or don't look like me. And there are people today that do the same thing. They have a hard time taking the gospel to people that don't look like them, don't think like them, or don't believe like them. Now, we know, and they kinda knew back then that Jesus wants his word to go everywhere. Right? So what typically happens is people filter the bible through their cultural lens to make it say what they want instead of what God intended.”

#ContextOverBias
“``So when you go back to the book of Deuteronomy, this is why context is important, it's why reading and knowing the entire bible is important. When you go back to the book of Deuteronomy, it's not that God was saying, any person who's been castrated, I don't want you in my kingdom, because God went out of his way to have Philip go and spend time and share the gospel with this Ethiopian eunuch so that God could say, I want you to be a part of my kingdom. But the problem that we run into is because people tend to filter the Bible through their cultural lens, when you walk into their church, if you don't look like them, then they will say, hey, stop.”

#ScriptureNotCulture
“``Instead, what he did let this sink in. Instead, what he did is he's he's working at the treasury for this entire nation, for the queen. And he says probably to the queen, I got some vacation time saved up, so I'm gonna take my chariot, and I'm gonna leave, and I'm gonna go to another nation to worship a god that is not the god of our nation. And she said, hey, have a good trip. Enjoy your way. And here's what he could have done. He didn't filter the bible through his cultural lens to make it say what he wanted instead of what God intended.”
