#SurrenderFirst
“But there is another way to read scripture, and this is what I'm inviting you to do. You surrender. You surrender. Surrendering to God precedes understanding. You come wanting to see the life the way God sees it when you approach scripture or when you hear a message preach. You ask, what do you want to say to me Lord? And then you choose to obey. And if it's hard to obey, you say, Lord help me. I want to obey because it's God who works in you both to will and to do after his good pleasure. It's God who changes you to be able to do his will.”

#BonfireOfIdols
“No more lukewarm Christians. It wasn't okay. This was for them a line in the sand. So they too, they let go of the things that they were holding on to. They let go of their culture, they let go of their sorcery books, their magic arts, of all the accursed things. And they made a public confession that cost them so much. We're told 50,000 got burned that night with that bonfire. You know, a draca is one day's wage. So you can imagine that that was very expensive. And in fact, go of that life for some must have been like employment for them. But they let go because they were now confessing Jesus. And the result was they mightily grew in power and the word of God prevailed. And that's what happens with us. When we let go of things that we should not be having in our lives, the power of God, we begin to experience it more.”

#NoShameInDeliverance
“Some of you may have experienced, like many of us in this church and who've come up for prayer, that they know that they're being oppressed in certain areas of their lives and you need help. I wanna be just assuring you there is no shame and there is no fear. You are loved and God wants you to be free. It's only the enemy that makes you feel shame so that you don't ask for the help you need. Deliverance is a process of sanctification. It's a cleansing and we all need it.”

#SurrenderForFreedom
“Anyway, some of you guys are saying, listen, I've been doing these things and there's been no harm. I've practiced it for years and there's nothing. But again, I want you to consider this. Whatever you're getting from those practices, God has infinitely more for you in Christ when you surrender completely to him. And this is a truth. Many of us who do deliverance ministry have come across and set people free that have been tormented by evil spirits because of these same practices.”
