#WorkAndFaith
“Raise the sail? Untie the boat from the dock? Steer as it comes? But is it the sailor's responsibility to get all the breath and air in his lungs that he possibly can and blow into that sail and make the wind and move that boat where it's supposed to go? Who alone commands the wind and waves? God does. And this is an illustration of what it means to work with our faith, but also to be active in our works as well in the perfect combination.”

#PartnerWithGod
“But it's trying to let go and let God. We've heard that. Let go and let God or Jesus take the wheel. You know what? Hey. Take the wheel. Do it all. Just drive the car for me, Lord, and that would be so amazing. But I think as we get into it, we'll find that that God wants us to drive some things, and there's some stuff that that we can do and should be doing on our on our own.”

#BewareSpiritualParalysis
“We overcorrect. We shift into kind of almost like this hyper spiritual approach, to to our faith where where we kinda have this spiritualized paralysis, where we just sit back and we just expect God to do our job while we remain stationary. We just let God and expect him to do everything. God is, you know, all powerful. I just I got faith, pastor, that god can do it. And so I'm just sitting here, and I'm gonna wait until he does it.”

#MissedRescuePresumption
“And then he's in heaven. He he believed. He trusted God. He's in heaven, and he's standing before God. And, this this is all just a story. This is all just a story. He's standing before god, and he's he's confused and in disbelief. God, I was praying, and I believed that you were gonna rescue me. Why didn't you rescue me? He's like, man, I sent you a fishing boat and a helicopter and the coast guard, and you just denied all of it.”
