#GodProvidesALamb
“Genesis 22 begins with God asking Abraham for something he could never imagine giving. It ends with Abraham discovering something he could have never provided. God provided a lamb. And that's actually the message of Genesis 22. Abraham's greatest need wasn't simply that Isaac would live. Abraham's greatest need was to learn that God could be trusted with what mattered most. And our greatest need isn't that God would make our life easier. Our greatest need is that God has provided a sacrifice for our sin in the person of his son.”

#JesusOurSubstitute
“Jesus came, and Jesus lived a perfect life free of sin, free of iniquity, free of transgression. He was spotless. He was the perfect sacrifice. And not only that, he lived an exemplary life giving us a pattern to follow. He died a cruel, horrible death, falsely accused. Given the mockery of a trial, beaten with a cat of nine tails. He had his head plated with a crown of thorns. He had his face beaten to a bloody pulp. He carried his own cross to Golgotha. They nailed him to that cross between two thieves, and he did it for you. He did it for me, and he did it for mankind. Jesus was our substitute.”

#ObedienceOverExplanations
“God allowed Abraham to be tested in his faith. Abraham had to believe. Abraham had to believe that God knows what he's doing even when Abraham didn't understand God's greater plan. Now this is one of the most difficult things to accept and believe. Now we often want God to explain himself before we make any decisions. We wanna see how it's all laid out. We wanna see how it will all work out. We want everything in a CAD drawing, if you will, in a schematic, in a flowchart before we take any steps of faith. But Abraham teaches us that faith does not require a complete explanation before there is complete obedience.”
