#CanGodTrustYou
“Isaac represented the promise of god. Like, how could he be the father of multitudes if he didn't have a son any longer? Now just know this isn't about God trying to kill a child or harm a child. Has nothing to do with that. He has everything to say, Abraham, are you just gonna run with my promise, or do you want me? And oftentimes, it's this is the question is not can we trust God. It's this. Can God trust you? Can God trust you with his things?”

#GodImageShapesLife
“I just sat out with my journal after I'd passed about forty years in ministry. I'm I'm about a year away from 50 now. So after forty, I just took my journal, and I sat there. I thought, okay. What are the greatest things I've learned? It's a good time to reflect on life. And can I just tell you the number one thing that comes back to me even still today is this? The image of God that you carry around inside of you affects the way you live your daily life.”

#LoveIsSacrifice
“So that means sacrifice. Guys, it doesn't mean like, I'll take a bullet for you. It means sacrifice, laying down your agenda, your plans so that you can engage with what it is that god's asking you to engage with. And I've I learned that love is choosing someone else's highest good. The feels aren't always there. In forty four years of marriage, I love it when the feels are there, but it's not always there. But that doesn't mean I can't love my wife well because it's a choice.”

#PassivityHurtsOthers
“One of the other things that happens with passivity is it leaves those we love and lead vulnerable to attacks from the enemy of our soul. Like, that one causes something to rise up inside of me. I mean, it our passivity in our families or in our voca, wherever God's called us, it leaves us vulnerable with the enemy. He can just do this and just fire away. Because we're not standing in that place that God's asked us to stand, to lovingly lead.”

#GodsNudge
“where might the Lord have been doing a little bit of this and giving you a nudge today? Is it you gotta up your game on just following Jesus more intently? Is it that desire to be a friend of God? Is it that passivity piece that you just need to say, God, I don't wanna walk in that. Or is it recognizing the forging that's going on right now in light of what he wants to see, he he molds you so that when he pushes stuff through you, you're able to sustain what he wants to do.”

#GodForgesYou
“But one of things, guys, we need to realize is God forges you to be that godly man. Like, sometimes we live in this world, and and when difficulty comes, all we have is one prayer. God, deliver me from this. And we've gotta learn that if the god of the universe, our father, Jesus, and the holy spirit have allowed this kind of there must be something he's got for you either to muscle up, to know his character in it, or to know a strategy to break through it.”

#LeadWithLove
“Being a faithful, faith filled follower, being a friend of God. That's where it all starts as guys. Secondly, let's look at this loving leader piece. So just as a spiritual father leads through being a faithful follower, they lead with love. Having the heart of a spiritual father means you are willing to lay your life down for others. Jesus said in John 15, greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down their life for their friends.”

#ReactionsRevealHeart
“And I wanna encourage you to learn to grab ahold of that thing. If it wasn't what you were want or you weren't pleased, when you have a moment, Jesus, man, I I should have risen up there instead. I shrunk back in fear. Or I took that personally when the person just walked past me. They probably were busy, but I took it personally, and my rejections all your reactions are windows to your heart. And when you can grab ahold of those things and say, god, what's going on here? Man, you begin to grow like crazy.”
