52s
“``Now, if you haven't heard that verse before, especially the last part that says, Abba, father, we're not talking about a rock band. Okay? We're not talking about, you know, that Swedish group, whatever. But Abba is an Aramaic language means daddy. It's like an endearing term of closeness with your dad, your heavenly father. That is so special. That's so powerful. And the whole Galatians passage leads us to the wonderful gift of adoption into God's family through Christ. This gift of relationship with God means that we can call out daddy rather than no dad.”
72s
“As an errand child of God, you can call out daddy when we've when you've fallen into sin. You stumbled. Your thoughts, words, actions, things that you grieve about, your failure, your discipleship in Christ, failure as in different aspects of your life. And yet God says, come to me. Come to me, and I will forgive. As we hear from Romans five, God demonstrates his own love for us in this. While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. As we skinned our knees as little kids, as we skinned our knees and ruin our lives in different ways, God's forgiveness and healing comes to us. And he says, I forgive you. Get up. Let's continue on. Let's start anew. Let us start afresh because I am your daddy who sent his only begotten son to die for you, to bring forgiveness and life for you forevermore.”

“And as his father Mark approached him and began to speak, Peter cut him off. I know, dad. It's okay to cry as long as I keep on walking. Maybe the road for your for your life and for you right now is is a long one. Your knees are just spread from all the falling down in a pathway that seems so tough, and yet God says, continue to walk. And he's not a father who's either trying to deny our feelings, but he is a heavenly father that knows that all things are gonna work for good for those who love God. And he's just as a dad saying, keep on going. Keep on going in my strength and my grace. I'm your daddy, and I'll be with you.”
