#GodsPresence
“what's the step that God has in front of me right now to take? And then finally, our fifth thing to remember when you're running on empty, and I think this is the big takeaway from Elijah's life, experiencing God's power yesterday doesn't eliminate my need for God's presence today. That good? If there was ever anyone in the Bible who could tell us what it was like to experience God's power, it was Elijah. And I think many Christians think, man, if I ever just saw God come through for me, I'd never doubt him again. I mean, if God used me to do something remarkable, I'd walk with him for the rest of my life. No, you wouldn't. How do I know that? Because of Elijah.”

“If you're not responding to text messages or phone calls or emails or you're just telling everybody to leave you alone, you are running on empty. K? If you're frustrated that people who care about you are checking on you, you are running on empty. If there's someone in your life that they won't respond to your text messages or your phone calls or your emails, they are running on empty. And you need to keep chasing them down in the name of Jesus. K? Because they don't even know how much they need you in their life right now. Isolation is one of the enemy's greatest strategies in our life, and all it does is take whatever you're walking through and make it worse.”

“He's got nothing left. And I think it's a really great insight for us. In fact, here's kind of, like, the overarching principle that's kind of being stated in god's word without being overtly stated. When when normal pressure causes you to overreact, you're on empty. Normal pressure. What's normal pressure? A j o b. Okay? That's normal pressure. You're gonna go to work. Not everything's gonna go your way. You're not gonna like everything. Boss isn't always gonna be great. But if your reaction to that is just an overreaction, over the top, it's an indicator you're probably running on empty.”

“Isn't it remarkable what led Elijah to this place of despondency was being used by God in incredible ways? Doing what God had called him to do. Some of you right now need to be blessed by this for a moment. You're walking with the Lord. You're being obedient. You're not being perfect, but you're being obedient to the best of your ability. You're seeking him in his ways. You genuinely want to live in accordance with God's will, and you're exhausted.”

#EndIsolation
“No one ever goes, I'm gonna isolate myself. Like, no one ever says that. K? No one ever just decides, I I think I should be isolated. It's not. Here's how you end up isolated. You convince yourself that no one will understand your situation. I just have a real unique situation going on right now. And we somehow elevate ourselves above everyone else, not realizing that's the trap called isolation. When you begin to think you're the only one, inevitably, you will become isolated. Do not give into that”

“But for some of you today, God has brought you to a place You've been fighting it. You've been resisting it. You've been doing everything you can to avoid it. And just for a moment, can I encourage you? Lean into it. Lean into it and meet the God who created you. The God who loves you. Meet him right there in that place and be reminded of just how much you need him. And so, God,”

#GodIsMyStrength
“God has to remind us to be desperate for him. God has to remind us that he is our source of strength. When God's doing great things in and through your life, you can begin to think that those things are where our strength come from. That's just the overflow of the strength. That's just the outpouring of the strength. That's just the result of the strength. God and his kindness, church, will lead us to places and spaces in our lives. We're like Elijah. We're just done. We're empty. We don't have anything left. And sometimes it takes getting to that place of desperation to be reminded just how good God is, and he will meet you in your place of need.”

“You cannot... This is so hard, church. When you are in a place of despondency, when your feelings and emotions aren't where you want them to be, you cannot feel your way out of that. You cannot think your way out of that. You have to act your way out of that.”
