Twenty four hour news stations get their business from continually raising alarm about something. It's their business model. Just like the sculptors of little gods back when Paul was walking through Athens, their business was making those little gods. Raising alarm about every little thing that's going on is how these places stay open. They want you hooked. They want you devoted to that screen, watching, if they could, all twenty four hours that they put out programming. This is a form of worship. It's a form of devotion.”
