49s
“``Come on, humanity. We can do better. I think that's what Jesus is saying in the sermon on the mount. Blessed are the peacemakers. Blessed are the merciful. Blessed are those who are persecuted. And what that means is if you're persecuted, that you're not gonna respond in kind. Blessed are the persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Following Christ's example, the perfect image of one who is persecuted and even killed. Blessed are the persecuted, for yours is the kingdom of heaven.”
44s
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the meek. Nobody says that in government. Nobody says that in avenues and halls of power. Blessed are the meek. Jesus is saying, what a difference the world would be if we took on this kind of attitude and looked at with at others with with a humility and respect and and not just a way how can we get on top? How can we have power over them? Blessed are the meek.”

“I encourage you to be in prayer as we approach our birthday, February birthday, as a nation. Not because this is a Christian nation. I'm not trying to say say that. But as Christians in this nation, let's pray that we find a better way to be giving way to our baked in natural responses of aggression and violence. Because I I think that if you look through history, you'll discover that it hasn't worked yet. It's just the same old cycles repeated over and over. But god has something better for us. It's just hard to do it. It's just hard to resist the tendency. And I and whether we're talking about nation states or just me in my own home with my own family members, there's a better way to be.”
63s
“And I am convinced that this aggressiveness that is within us, it's even recorded in words of scripture as people who worshiped God saw God as the one who would deliver that kind of aggression. I am convinced that those are simply our human expressions recorded recognized and archived for us, I am convinced that the God that we worship is better than us. Are you? That at a minimal, we can say that god is better than us and that the way that god would deal with conflicts and issues in this world are going to be better than our human methods of conflict.”
