#GospelChangesLives
“But somebody plea anybody, please tell me what good are we doing them if if we if we never tell them that their actions are what God says is sin. Now when we say a sin, what God says is sin. If we never tell them that what they're doing is wrong, how are how are how are we helping them? Please tell me how we're helping them. Well, we we've got to earn the right to be heard. Again, there's absolutely truth in that. But if all they ever hear is, hey, we love you and we're glad you're here, but they never hear, hey, god says you violated his law. You're you're under condemnation. If if they never hear that, what what good have we done? That's not the gospel, ladies and gentlemen. Listen, the gospel changes lives. Amen. It changes lives.”

#ActionsRevealFaith
“News flash, we are sinners. We do sin. And John makes that clear in chapter one, but in chapter three, he's saying that this person that lives a lifestyle of sin of sin that that that is evidence that that person does not does not really know the savior. You cannot John's use of the term practice, that word practice. John seems to love using repeating words for emphasis. You may remember the end of chapter two, it was the word abide used six times in six verses. Here at the opening part of chapter three, it is the word practice used six times in six verses.”

#StandOutForChrist
“John's saying, my life should be different in a way that should stand out in the context of a culture that gives no thought to God or his will for their lives. A culture that gives no thought to God's standard of of morality or the eternity that is to come. Now we might not physically look that different from the people around us, but we ought to look different from the people that are around us. That's what he seems to be saying. There's something about it ought to stand out. So maybe this is a good place to ask you, does your life stand out as a follower of Jesus Christ?”

#AimHigherForGod
“I'm not saying that there's no place for social media in our lives or movies or sports or or any of those things. I'm just saying that we have to make room somewhere for the deeper things of God. We have to find a way in our lives to to to discover what God is saying. We need to make the effort, I guess, is what I'm saying. We need to make the effort to really think about what God is saying to us through his word. And one of the things that he's saying to us here in first John chapter three in this idea of of how we approach the world is that you and I need to aim higher than the world.”

#LoveInAction
“He's not saying that we shouldn't speak words of kindness. Obviously, he's not saying that. I think we all understand that. But what he's saying is that talk is cheap, that that's not enough to say, oh, I I love my I love my church. I hear I I love my church. K. Why? What are you doing? How what's your actions that show that you love your church? How do you serve? How do you give? What do you do? I love my church. Okay. John says, okay. That's great, but talk is cheap. You see, we have to love our brothers and sisters in Christ with with our actions. It has to be has to be lived out. It has to be displayed.”

#ReflectGodsLove
“When we love each other as God loves us, that's that's reflection on God's love for us. God the the truth is God is glorified in it when when we can when we can love each other the way he loves us. And and and it is hard. Right? Sometimes y'all don't wanna love somebody that said this or done that or this person has done this or that hurt. But that that's the call because it reflects God's love. That's that's a good reason to do it. Paul reminds us in Romans five eight, but God demonstrates his own love toward us and that while we were yet sinners, Christ for us. In other words, it it God's love is sacrificial. God's love is generous. God's love is patient. God's love is forgiving. God's love is all of these things, and he tells us to love each other in the same way. And the truth is, God is actually glorified when we love each other as he loves us.”

#SpeakTruthBoldly
“But it will not. In general, by the way, it will not be accepted. And the reason is simple. Darkness hates light because light exposes the darkness for what it is, evil, sin. So don't expect the world to stand up and applaud you if you stand up and say, no. Wait a minute. That's God's word says something else. God's word says something that's why that's why listen. That's why the world is so emphatic getting getting even more aggressive about the idea that Christians have to we just gotta sit down. Just Christians, y'all just need to sit down and shut up. Meet in your little building if you want to. Okay. But you sit down and shut up.”

#BlessedWhenHated
“You understand? We have to accept the fact that we will not be accepted by a satanically led world system that hates God's standard of righteousness. You're just not. Jesus said as much. Luke chapter six verse 22, blessed are you. Blessed are you when men hate you. Do you feel blessed? When somebody hates you, when somebody tells you off, cusses you out? Blessed are you when men hate you and ostracize you and insult you and scorn your name as evil for the sake of the son of man.”
