Challenge

IFGF operates across 38 nations and needed to scale the translation of their video courses to equip local church leaders and pastors in countries where the Gospel has limited reach. Their mission was to help these leaders plant churches and spread the Gospel with high-quality educational content.

They were using another AI vendor for video dubbing, but the technology was inferior —lacking voice-cloning and lip-syncing capabilities. The process was time-consuming, expensive, and produced poor quality results that required extensive post-editing.

Previously, IFGF could only produce a few dozen translated videos per month. And the long turnaround times and post-editing requirements made it difficult to keep up with their expanding global ministry.

"We had poor quality video and long turnaround times with our previous vendor. We had to do a lot of post-editing of the video, so it was a tedious task to get individual videos translated."
— Cindy Widjaja, Project Manager, IFGF

IFGF had tried two approaches: hiring translators to make content locally understandable, and having local pastors deliver the same content in their own words. Neither worked well: translators were too expensive with long turnaround times, and they could not fully trust local associate pastors to teach the courses accurately.

Solution

The automated pipeline handles everything from ingestion to delivery, producing both subtitled and non-subtitled versions for maximum flexibility across different regions and preferences.

Our technology leverages the same orchestration pipeline that won the Gloo AI Hackathon in 2024, ensuring cutting-edge performance and fast turnaround times.

"We were blown away by the perfect lip-syncing and voice-cloning, the quality difference was immediately apparent."
— Paulus Pouw, Associate Pastor, IFGF

After seeing a sample translation that was turned around within 2 hours, IFGF immediately wanted to expand to 10 languages per video. And then expanded again to 15 more, totalling 25 languages per video. The dramatic improvement in quality and turnaround time convinced them to commit to translating their entire curriculum in every supported language.

Results & Impact

In just 2 months, IFGF has transformed their video translation workflow and dramatically expanded their reach. They now post 150 translated videos per week across 10 languages, with plans to expand to over 20 languages.

  • Massive Scale Increase
From producing a few dozen videos per month to 150 videos per week—a 10x+ improvement in output volume that enables IFGF to keep pace with their global expansion.
  • Cinema-Quality Voice Cloning & Lip-Sync
Perfect lip-syncing and voice-cloning technology ensures that local pastors receive content that feels natural and authentic in their native language, dramatically improving engagement and comprehension.
  • Rapid Language Expansion
After successful results with 2 languages, IFGF immediately expanded to 10 languages per video, and then expanded to 15 more, totalling 25 languages per video to reach 38 nations and underserved people groups.

The transformation has enabled faster curriculum distribution, new gospel-outreach programs, and increased donor enthusiasm as stakeholders see the dramatic improvement in reach and quality.

Looking ahead, IFGF will get 10,000 total videos created, which is a 25X increase in total curriculum content. Future projects also include live audio translations for their worldwide conferences.
