#ConnectedButAlone
“And isn't it interesting that we live in the most connected generation in human history and yet loneliness has become one of the most defining struggles of our time. Anyone know what I'm talking about? We have social media, We have group chats. We have FaceTimes. We have all of these things, and sometimes you can't get some people on any of those devices. That's a different topic for a different day. We have text messages. We have thousands of followers, yet many people have never felt more alone. People are connected digitally, but disconnected relationally. Can I say that one more time? We are connected digitally, but disconnected relationally. We are informed, but isolated. Known by many, but deeply known by few. And perhaps, that's because loneliness is simply isn't an emotional problem. It's a spiritual problem.”

#WeBelongTogether
“Do you realize that we belong to one another? If you take the word lit if you take the letter you out of the church, guess what's missing? That's deep teaching there. If you remove yourself from the word church, guess what's missing? Who's missing? You. Tell the person next to you. You. You. Yeah. Yeah. Tell tell your second favorite choice. You. You. You. You. Listen to this carefully. One of the enemy's greatest strategies has never been destruction. It's isolation. That's right. Because isolated people become vulnerable people. Think about nature. Predators don't usually attack the herd. They attack the one separated from the herd. The disconnected The isolated one, the exposed one, and maybe that's why the enemy works so hard to convince people that they don't need anyone else. I'll just do this on my own. I'll figure it out by myself. I don't need community, but can I tell you something? You were never designed to do life alone. We are stronger together.”

#StrengthInConnection
“We are better together. We are in this together. Can I get an amen if you believe that this morning? Let me show you this way. There's a there's a tree called the redwood. Tallest trees on earth, they can grow over 300 feet tall, but what amazes scientists is that their roots are surprisingly shadow shallow. If they're if they're that tall and their roots are shallow, how do they survive storms? How do they withstand strong winds? Listen to this carefully. Because underneath the ground, their roots become intertwined with other trees. Their strength doesn't come from the depth of their roots. Their strength comes from the depth of their connections because they're connected to other trees. So maybe the question isn't how strong am I? Maybe the question is who am I connected to? Very good. Who am I connected to? Good. That's the church.”

#StayInFormation
“When someone is hurting, we don't leave, we land. When someone needs a break, someone else steps in. The geese don't go. They don't keep going by because they flap harder. They keep going because they stay connected. Connected to each other, connected to the wind, connected to the rhythm. If you've been trying to fly solo, the spirit of God brought you here today to say, you're not supposed to carry it alone. Stay in formation. That's good. Stay connected. Yeah. Stay connected. You want peace? Stay in formation. You want strength? Stay connected. You want power? Don't break off from the v formation.”

“Well, what are your dry bones today? What are the dry bones in your life? I wanna encourage us today that God wants to do something with all the dry bones in your life, but all it takes is the spoken words, the power of prayer, the power of persistence. Do not give up even if the enemy tells you, no, this situation is done. Keep pressing on. Keep pressing on. Keep pressing on. So I'll end with this. If even a tired unwilling friend will eventually respond because of shameless persistence, how much more will your loving father in heaven respond to his children?”

“See, in the same way that the pressure in our lungs produces breath, the prompting of God in our lives should produce prayer. See, when we're in relationship with God, that should put enough like pressure on us that we feel that we need to pray. Not pressure in the sense of feeling bad, but pressure as a prompting, pressure as a signal, pressure as a sign that this is what you should be doing. You see every prayer that's unprayed is a prayer that's unanswered. See prayer is so important that when you read through the scripture, it's mentioned at least 250 times.”

“You see prayer is not our way of getting God to do our will here. It's our way of seeing God's will done here on earth. See God wants to answer our prayers but first we need to pray. And in the bible we see so many incredible stories of of God moving so miraculously in amazing ways. We see king Hezekiah at the end of his life. He's praying. He's sick. He's on his deathbed and his life is about to end But he prays a bold, bold prayer, and God answers him and he gets a fifteen year extension on his life.”

“The most important thing in your life is your relationship with God. This is what William Barclay said. He said, when we enter into a new relationship with God, the judge becomes the father, the distant becomes the near, strangeness becomes intimacy, and fear becomes love. You see, when we start getting to know God, we start to see different sides of him. You see, when we go out into the world then we and you and you interact with people who don't know Jesus, they see him as a judge.”

“"The battle is won in prayer before it is won out there. You know, verse four of our parable says, for a time he refused, the judge, for a time he refused, despite her legitimate request, despite her tenacity to keep coming back, for a time he refused."”

“"Persistent faith keeps on declaring, and this is key, it keeps on declaring, what it believes. Persistent faith will keep declaring the end result. It will stand on the Word of God, the promises of God, and declare what is in your covenant."”
