Contemporary Taylor Churches

These congregations emphasize modern worship with bands, practical teaching, and casual dress, drawing new residents around Carlos G. Parker Blvd and along the US 79 corridor. They often meet in renovated storefronts or school auditoriums near Downtown Taylor and attract families connected to Samsung and commuters from Hutto and Round Rock.

Historic & Liturgical Churches

Centered around Taylor’s historic downtown grid and older neighborhoods near Murphy Park, these churches worship with choirs, organ music, and set liturgies. Many trace roots to the area’s Czech and German heritage and serve multi-generational families who value tradition and architectural character.

Spanish-Speaking Churches in Taylor

Reflecting the city’s strong Hispanic community, these congregations offer bilingual or Spanish-only services, with music and preaching that resonate across cultures. You’ll find active family ministries and ESL or community-aid programs near Main Street and east-side neighborhoods along the US 79 corridor.

Country Baptist Churches

Smaller Baptist and evangelical congregations dot the county roads toward Thrall, Coupland, and the Blackland Prairie fields. They feature straightforward Bible preaching, Sunday School, and potluck fellowship, with schedules and ministries that fit farm and ranch life.

#TodayIsTheDayOfSalvation
“today is the time if your life is not founded on this foundation that you know the real deal. Today is the day. Today is the day of salvation. Amen. Praise god. Mister Chris, if you wanna help us. Oh, praise god. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Don't settle for less. Don't be satisfied with what you hear from the crowds regarding the identity of Jesus Christ. Ask God to reveal it to you in a personal way if he hasn't yet, so that you can say like Peter, you are the Christ. You are the Christ. Amen. Praise God.”

“You're gonna be stewarding the church age. You're gonna be stewarding the gospel. In Matthew 28, he says, you're gonna take it to the ends of the earth. But here he's saying, here's the thing that you're gonna have to contend with. This is what you and I have to contend with. When the graduation speaker said, don't waste your life. What he was actually saying is, with clarity, you're either going to steward the gospel and be the faithful servant, or you're gonna pretend and you're gonna be the wicked servant. Jesus is saying to his disciples, you're either gonna steward this gospel and be faithful, or you're gonna pretend and be wicked. Sometimes I feel like I need to draw out the conclusion and help you find the answer. But today, I do not feel like I'm obligated to do that because it's between you and God. Are you stewarding the gospel? Are you being faithful to share your faith? Are you being faithful with your resources? Are you being faithful to serve? Or are you pretending? And are you the wicked?”

#JesusIsTheSonOfGod
“And the question is, what's the answer gonna be? I hope it is the answer that Peter gave. That's the only answer that can satisfy the expectations of an almighty God. Jesus is not just another prophet, just a good teacher. Jesus is the son of God. I proclaim it, I confess it, I believe it, I'm sure of it. I lay my life down upon that. Amen. Praise God because he's showing me the truth of who he is.”

#PersonalFaithInJesus
“This proves that no one can ever make a true decision about Jesus Christ by taking in consideration what public public opinion has to say about Jesus. The important thing is not what others are saying, but the important thing is, what do you have to say personally about Christ based upon a revelation from heaven. The decisions the crowds make regarding Christ can never substitute for personal decision when it comes to the saving knowledge of Christ.”

#FaithAlone
“``these men was so used to religion. Let me tell you. Every religion of the world has to do with a do deal. You have to do this. You have to do that. No. The only work you have to do is believe in Jesus Christ according to John six thirty three. That's the only work God expects us to do, that we believe in him whom God has sent. Hallelujah. That's the only work. Apart from that, you believe that what Jesus did on the cross is a done deal. Hallelujah. That's the difference between religion and Christianity. Religion says do this, Christianity says it is finished. Hallelujah! Because Jesus says it is finished and he gave up the ghost. There's nothing else you and I can do to be saved and be in the right standing with God but to believe in Christ Jesus.”

#DontMissHeaven
“What is missing in your life? Is there an ingredient that is missing? Hallelujah. Only god knows. But let me tell you, you don't have to walk away from Christ sorrowful. And we don't even know if that man repented or not. I mean, some people believe that's the man that, you know, cry in hell. I don't know if that's true or not, but, you know, we don't know if he repented. We don't know if he changed his mind and turned to God before he die. But if he didn't turn to God before he die, you know, he didn't make it. Thank god that we're still on this side of eternity. And if something is missing, we can do something about it. I could have said something to that way today. Where's my tomatoes? But I didn't. When it comes to eternal life, if god is pointing out something to me when I'm lacking, I wanna do it. Because I don't wanna miss heaven over one thing. I do not.”

#OneThingMissing
“Jesus knew what was holding these men back. Jesus knew the tomatoes. Jesus was able to see the pasta, the spinach, the salmon, but he knew he was missing the tomatoes. And Jesus says, you have everything, but you lack one thing. You lack one thing. Notice that the way we respond to the word of God, when the truth touches the hidden things of the heart will determine whether we inherit life in the presence of god or not. That will be our choice how we respond.”

#HeartOverRules
“Notice how Jesus responded to the question, what must I do to inherit eternal life? Notice that Jesus did not say, you don't have to do anything. Notice that Jesus didn't say, eternal life is completely free. Just believe in me and receive god's gift. Notice that Jesus did not lead him in the sinner's prayer. Instead, he led him to the 10 commandments. He led him to the word. We all know that obeying the commands man manments won't get anyone into heaven, but the 10 commandments expose the prideful heart of man, taking away every confidence of self righteousness.”

#SeekGodForTheNation
“I just wanna encourage you. You know, look at what we're facing, not only in America, but in the whole world. The spirit of antichrist is moving in so rapidly. And if the church don't get a hold of god, if we don't get a hold of god, what's gonna happen in a few years? This country is gonna be unrecognizable. It's not the dollar bill. It's not anything else. It is god. The foundation in which this nation was built upon. Amen. There's still hope. There's still hope for America. But I believe god is calling the church and say, look. Look at what you have received. Your godly inheritance is worth seeking my face and inviting me to fight for you.”

#ProtectTheChurch
“``Don't underestimate the enemies. Don't don't think that they're far away. They're here, and their agenda has not changed. But we serve a mighty god. We serve a mighty god who loves his church, and Jesus himself said the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Amen. Does that mean that I don't have to do anything? No. We need to fear some things, and let our fear drive us to God to seek him. And just say, Lord, this is your fight. This is your church. This this is your life. This is your testimony. You die for your church. Don't let the devil run over your church. Don't let people get their hands on your church. Don't let people touch your glory, Lord. This is you, glory. This is you, all you. Amen. Come and fight for us.”
