“As a parent, have you ever watched the road Waiting for your kids, just watching the road. Lord, bring them bring them home, please. Maybe it's a letter, maybe it's a text, an email, a face appears on the door and you just wait. So what do you give the perfect father for Father's Day? Who literally has everything. That road in the kingdom of God is just a step. Nowhere in the bible do you see the Godhead doing anything other than moving, like in Genesis, the holy spirit, or walking like we saw Jesus walk. But right here, we see God in the prodigal son, he runs. That road is just a step. question this morning for you to ask the holy spirit because he's here, what's my step? And then take it. It's a perfect Father's Day gift.”

“It is not the school's job to raise our children. It is not the state's job to raise our children. It is the parents' job to raise the children. God has given parents and not the state, not schools, not anything else, the responsibility of raising children. The state is out of line when it sidesteps parents to instruct children in ways that parents would find harmful to their children. The fundamental responsibility for both education and the well-being of a child belongs to the parents.”

“You can trust him. See, one of the questions that we've been asking over this two year discipleship journey is this is is that if God is first and best, is God first and best in our life or is there areas of our life that are not yet fully surrendered to Him? One of the reasons why we don't surrender everything to God is because we don't deep down believe that we can trust him. You can trust him. He is a really good father. He not only loves you, but he enjoys you.”

“And as I dug into Scripture, here's what I found. God the Father doesn't just love His children, He enjoys them. God the Father doesn't just love His children, but He enjoys them. Now this concept may be hard for some of you to digest because in your mind, you can't view God that way. You you may in your mind have a default religious mindset. You know, a default religious mindset often views God like this cop in the sky, who's waiting for us to screw up or to break a rule so that He can punish us Or some of us, well, we view God like the disappointed boss, that he has such high expectations that all we can deliver is failure.”

“And in three seventeen, we see a God who is a rejoicing warrior. Now picture that, dads. Picture picture a man, picture a father being a rejoicing warrior. It's like the two are are are intention constantly. It goes on to say, in your midst, this this rejoicing warrior is in your midst. In other words, God is not angry at a distance, but but He's back with His people. It goes on to say He's the mighty one that will save. This is the Hebrew word gabor, which means warrior hero who fights to protect his citizens. Doesn't that sound like a really good father that fights to protect his family?”

“But as we wrap up today, just take a look at your journey. Like, have you gone all in with Jesus? Like, that's where it begins. Just given him your life where he's the leader of your life, the Lord of your life, the savior. And next is, like, let's walk by the spirit, not by the flesh. Walking by the spirit is walking in truth, letting be our guide, our helper, coming alongside us, never leaving us, being in us forever dwelling with us. And out of this relationship with the Lord, like God begins to speak and we began to say yes to this and no to that and yes to the Lord when he says that. And over a lifetime, we look back and we're like, I can't believe it. I can't believe what God has done. And so as I pray today, I would encourage you to take a step of faith with the Holy Spirit as he prompts you today and this week to say yes to the Lord. Let's pray.”

“So when you believe in Jesus, God places his spirit in you And he calls this the helper. Now, in Greek it's parakletos or paraclete. And the word paraclete these different meanings. So as I read these meanings, this is the spirit of God that lives in you and this is what he does in your life. Counselor. You ever gone through times of your life where you're like, I need wisdom, counsel. He's the counselor, the helper, the advocate, comforter, intercessor, teacher, guide, encourager. When Jesus says, I'm gonna send another, the helper, to you who'll be in you forever, this is what he's talking about. This is what the Holy Spirit does in our life and Jesus is like, you know him.”

“``This is the God of all creation. Go out at night and see the stars, see the bright moon that we have right now and you're like, the God that created all of this will be with me forever. The God who's done all of this will only and always speak truth in my life. This God wants to dwell with me, wants to live with me And it gets even better, he wants to be in your life, in you. So everywhere you step foot this week, the spirit of God is with you. When you walk in a room, there's the spirit of God. Wherever you go, whatever you circumstance, good or bad, God is with you, he's never gonna leave you. It's a forever thing.”

“So Tommy and Sherry never started out by saying, we're gonna change the world, we're gonna set the world on fire. They just was they were just obedient to what God put in front of them. Just their yes was yes, their no was no. They just continue to be faithful. And so when we look at your journey, like if you if you wanna go further with the Lord, it's all about obedience and trust and knowing God and saying yes, taking steps of faith. And it and it's doing it together. It's always Tommy and Sherry and it's now it's their kids. Their kids are taking over their ministry. They're leading. They're they're doing all of these great things for the Lord and it's only because they would hear the Lord and they would say yes.”

“The way of people who don't know God is to lash out when they are discriminated against. They take things into their own hands and expend their energy fighting the system or the people who mistreated them. Jocob could have done this. She could have organized the Hebrew women to rise up against Pharaoh. She should have tried to plot, to poison pharaoh. She should have incited riots and and stirred division. Instead, she chose to trust God and fight for her son through faith. John Petra's response reveals a counterintuitive faith that goes against every grain of our flesh fleshly nature, but at the end of it, it honors God.”
