“The last thing I want you to know about David is that he was a work in progress over perfection. It'd be nice if we knew the whole story of David that he was sinless, but he wasn't. He was far from sinless. He committed serious sins, including adultery and murder. Hard to believe that the man who mowed down Goliath, hard to believe the man who wrote the Psalms could also commit adultery and murder. However, what I love about this story is that the the defining mark of David was his heart. And even when he sinned, he responded to God with broken remorse and repentance. He he he brought his heart back to God for forgiveness. So yeah, there's no such thing as a sinless human being, including David. But he pursued God with a wholehearted devotion, a man after God's own heart, and how God loved and forgave him.”

We've gone through the motions, but closeness closeness is not the same as surrender. Jesus would say, don't confuse being in the room with being surrendered to the king. Others of us have been treating the invitation as something will respond to later. We've been putting off the the nudges that god has been putting in our heart. We've been saying, I'll get to it later. I'm busy right now. I I I'll wait for the right moment opportunity but the invitation isn't something for us to postpone.”
