And Jesus offers us peace, but not normal peace because he offers us the prince of peace.”

“How how do we adjust to that? Well, one thing I came up with as a father is we have an aardvark room. Now aardvark stairs stands for air alert readiness defending victory and restoration in Kyiv. It's also one of the few words only word I know that starts with two a's. So the aardvark room has nothing do with aardvarks. It has to do with a place of protection, a pre a place of shelter. We have bible verses on the walls. We have aardvark facts. If you wanna know more about aardvarks, ask my kids about aardvarks. So when we hear air defense is working in our vicinity, or the, they're coming to our area, we will go to the small area under the stairs. We don't have a basement. It's just away from windows in our hallway to the Aardvark room. We've spent thirty or forty nights in the Aardvark room in our three years there. We're at 02:00 in the morning, 01:00 in the morning. We will get up, and I set up mattresses and blankets and pillows already so we can quickly transition from our beds to the floor, where we try to sleep, during attacks. And then we get up, we go to church, go to school, and do whatever we were planning to do that particular day.”

“Your doubts are okay. Let's look at and think about how Jesus responds to Thomas's doubt. Verse 27 it says, then he said to Thomas, put your finger here and see my hands. Put out your hand and place it in my side. I read that and I just think, this is eight days after the resurrection. When Thomas puts his hands in the wounds, does Jesus wince? Does he step back in pain? Did he invite Thomas to to really witness this in that kind of way? I mean, think about the suffering Christ had already been through. And he invites Thomas, come to me. I see you. I see the doubt and I love you. Place your hand here in my side. Do not disbelieve but believe. Thomas's response is remarkable. My lord, my god. Not just my lord, but my god. The deity of Christ revealed to Thomas right there in that moment as he sees God in the flesh.”

“``Jesus has grace for the doubter. Jesus comes right to Thomas and yells at him and tells him he's a loser. How could you not believe this? He condemns him out of the church, doesn't he? Wait. That's not what he does at all. Somebody does it all. I mean, he could've. Think about it. I mean, if if ever if there was ever a time where Jesus could have condemned somebody, if he if he could have just kicked him out of the room or just said, you're not one of the disciples anymore. Get out of here. This would have been that moment. I mean, what Jesus had gone through, the beatings and the mockery and the crucifixion all that all that that entailed. I mean, if there was ever a moment where Jesus could've just dropped the hammer on somebody, it would have been Thomas. You doubt me now? I prophesied this. I told you I was gonna die and come back from and you still don't believe. How dare you? But he doesn't.”
