“But we are united first not really by mission. We're not united really by a task first and foremost, but by the way that we are rooted in the very life of God together. That is why we are joined together. That's why why do we pray for our brothers and sisters, in in other churches in The Woodlands area? Why do we do that? It's because we share that identity in the father, son, and holy spirit together. And because of that, we get to share in the common task of going therefore and making disciples.”

All of his saving acts are rooted in who he is. And it is no exaggeration to say that there is no gospel except for the trinity. There is no gospel without the triune God. the doctrine of the trinity, it preserves the truth of the gospel. That's why it is so important.”

“So the disciples, they're they're no longer gonna be people who can vacillate in their allegiances as we see the disciples doing often in the gospels. They can't have allegiances to anything else other than this god revealed in Jesus. That's what this mark upon them in baptism tells us. The mark of allegiance to the one lord is placed upon us in baptism, in the name of the father, the son, and the holy spirit. Our names are hidden in his name.”
