Non-denominational

Modern music, practical teaching, and a relaxed, come-as-you-are atmosphere — popular with young adults and families who want a welcoming community without strong denominational ties.

Mainline & historic

Traditional worship with beautiful sanctuaries, choral music, and liturgical services — congregations that connect faith with history and a long-standing community presence.

Students & young adults

With the University of Colorado nearby, many churches emphasize student ministry — Bible studies, worship nights, and service opportunities built for people in their college and early-career years.

Family-friendly

Strong kids’ programs, youth groups, and safe, supportive environments — with Sunday school, childcare, and age-specific ministries throughout the city.

“And our word perfection in English, most of us think being perfect is getting everything perfectly right. Which comes from the Latin meaning of the word for perfection. Latin perfection is getting everything right. And I totally agree. We're never gonna get everything right. But if you use the Greek translation of the word perfect, it has a different meaning. And the meaning of the Greek version is what John Wesley was getting at when he says we are going on to perfection in Jesus Christ. Perfection in Greek means wholeness, completeness. Being the complete creation God wanted us to be. And sin diminishes that, but through the grace of Jesus Christ, we can go on to wholeness in Christ. And that is where the daily chores of spiritual practices give us that strength from Christ that we can go on and be the complete creation that God intended us to be.”

#AlignedForMission
“Churches do not usually struggle because they lack people. They struggle when people are present misaligned. whenever god's people pull in different directions, Progress is stalled. Power is diluted, purpose is delayed. That is why Paul calls the church, the Ephesus church, back to the foundation of its calling. One body, one spirit, and one hope. Now these aren't merely sermon points that I'll get to, but they are the spiritual framework that guides the church to walk in a manner worthy of its calling.”

“Verse five, commit your way to the Lord. There's this word trust again. Trust in him, and he will act. I love this. It's this unwavering confidence in God. We don't know the future. His ways are above our ways. Commit your way to the Lord. Trust in him, and he will act. It isn't you will act. It isn't I will act. It isn't I'll be empowered and emboldened someday to to do act. It's no. No. No. No. Trust your way to the Lord. Commit your way to the Lord. Trust in him, and he will act. That's a powerful verse for some of us here this morning. Be still and wait patiently.”

“``Do you know that most of Jesus's miracles never happened in the synagogue? Most of his miracles happen where? Outside. Most of his miracles happen in the marketplace. Most of his healings happen in the marketplace. Most of his healings happen where people were at work. Come on. Jesus has anointed you. Come on, lift those hands. Oh god. Come on, lift those hands. The spirit of the lord. I want to pray for some folks who are ready to be launched. I want to pray for some folks who are ready to be released, who say yes, yes, I hear the word of the lord on today and I'm I I have decided that today is my day of coming out. I received the message of Jubilee.”

#RejectScarcityFaith
“Because that's what most people are asking you to preserve when they say die to yourself and they're talking about not being queer anymore or staying in your place as a woman in the hierarchy. When they're saying die to yourself, they're saying, hey, don't let your bigness, your fullness outshine your place in the system, in the order of the way that we think things should be. That is institutional survival strategy. It is scarcity, and it is not what Jesus is talking about.”

#SpiritualAdulting
“An adult becomes a parent and raises children. Adults care for aging friends and relatives in their time of need. Adults take care of themselves and they have the capacity to take care of someone else. And I think that's what the writer of Hebrews and that's what the writer of Proverbs is trying to get at. Have you grown enough spiritually that you can stand on your own and continue taking care of yourself spiritually and help the next person grow with Jesus? Or do you feel less than confident in the Bible, in your prayer life, in your understanding of God? Are you ready to help the next person? And that helped me understand where my goals should be set. Am I taking care of myself? Am I strong with Jesus? do I know enough to help the next person?”

“Now these are people doing this for work, but it was because they really cared about their fans. They want to make sure I mean, what is Mick Jagger? 83? He wants, even now, to give his fans the best concert he possibly can. Taylor Swift wanted to be ready for a long grueling tour. Do we have that same passion for living the life that God has given us? Are we ready to put in the exercise to be strong enough to bring God's grace to every person in our lives? That takes strength. That takes commitment. Are we doing the daily exercises to live into that partnership with God?”

#GraceInAction
“``We are encouraged to find time and ways to fit spiritual practices practices in our life because God will give us more life. God gives us more peace, more joy when we spend time with God. Now one thing I wanna be clear about, spiritual disciplines are not going to earn us favor with God or measure our spiritual success. takes care of all the saving part. We don't have to try to earn our salvation. It is a free gift that we can freely receive. But I think more importantly, our spiritual connection to God allows God's grace to flow through us into the world. God wants to work with us to build God's kingdom. Our actions, we talked about in our last song that we sang, our actions are our response to God's grace in our lives.”

#NoticeGodGiveThanks
“where is God in your real life? And I'd like to offer two chores and pick one of these to try this week. And email or text me so I can share next week how it went for you. Chore number one, and feel free to write this down unless you've got a super great memory. Although you can go online and see the recording to bring it back if you forget it. Number one chore you can try. Do you see God in the faces of the people around you this week? Be aware as you look at the people. See where you see God in someone in your life. Chore number two if you want to try this one. Do you express gratitude for God's creation of sky, land, and water as you spend time outside this summer?”

#GrowDeeperFaith
“Our spiritual lives need this kind of regular attention as well. In our readings today, we hear the writer to the Hebrews talking about the need to grow spiritually, not to stick with the baby food. It works really well for little Charlotte over here. I did not plan to have a baby here today for this, but what Charlotte needs is not what the rest of us need. And the write up's like, how many of you are kind of stuck? Like, when you first heard about Jesus, we gave you the baby food of faith. We gave you simple instructions and simple lessons so you could start your walk of faith with Jesus. But it's been a while, people. Why are you still stuck with those same lessons? Why haven't you moved on? Why haven't you gone deeper?”
