“Jesus knows what you're going through. He knows what you're feeling. You don't go through this alone. He's not just sitting there saying, suck it up. He's there with you, and He's asked God, and God has sent this helper to help you through. Oftentimes, when people come alongside us, we can honestly say, you just don't understand what I'm going through, but we can't say that to Jesus. He's the one person we could never say that to. He said, no, no. I I know exactly what you're going through. I went through far worse, and God saw me through just like He'll see you through. He comes alongside us. He gives us the Holy Spirit to help us in our weakness. Our sin and struggle with that sin is heavy, but Jesus bared the sins of the world on the cross, and He's the one who sends this helper to help.”

“I mean, what he's writing to us in Romans, he gets because he's experienced almost all of this. Now, let me ask you the question, and there's an implied answer in this. Because of all he went through, was he loved less by God because he went through it? No. And the lesson and the reminder here is is that when we go through it, whatever it is that it is that we go through, he doesn't love us less. And I'm not minimizing any of this. I mean, life can be so hard, so painful, so distressing, but he hasn't stopped loving you.”

And it matters that we're salt and light because he loves you and wants to to be in relationship with you. So it's important in that. But it's also important because this world needs Jesus. It needs him. If we're not salt and light, less people have a chance to know him. Because most people are not driving down Belmont Ave and going and pulling in because the facade looks really nice or the grounds look really good.”

Once you I don't care if you feed it food or feed it weights, it's gonna grow. Alright? If you feed fear, anxiety grows. If you feed fear, anxiety grows. “That's what sin does. Sin doesn't just whoops. It's not that. It over time attaches itself to every part of you that matters most and slowly erodes both your capacity to feel guilt around it, but it imprisons you in those patterns that you don't have the willpower to get out of it. Here's how you know you don't. You're ready? You you because you haven't. You tried and you haven't. You've worked on it and you haven't. You know it and you haven't. Right? And then in the moment, and I think this is always so fascinating. In the moment, when you're looking at decisions and how you're gonna navigate it, right, it's almost like this personification of sin. I remember, I'm gonna write this way. It rewrites yeah. There it goes. Rewrites your past to justify your decisions in the present, to move you away from what God's called you to do.”

“Now, when Paul talks about that all things are working together for good, what is the good that he's actually talking about? Does he mean easy, comfortable, no struggle, no hardship, and end to suffering? No. That's the whole context. This is the life of the Christian until we get home. The good that he's talking about is our sanctification that we saw. And next week, gonna get into verse 29, to be conformed into the image of his son. That's the goal. That's the end. That God is working all things together for your sanctification, which ultimately ends in glory with the Lord.”
